100 years through many approaches like cognitive and cellular to get data about the brain. This

information is then integrated using frameworks like the work of David Marr that aims at

understanding specific brain networks. According to Marr, there are three levels required for a

human brain process. These are; defining functional properties that are characterized

behaviorally; identifying the computational algorithm that performs that; and determining how

neurons and networks are connected to execute that algorithm (Lisman, 2015). For centuries

scientist and philosophers have been fascinated by the brain until recently when they viewed the

brain as almost incomprehensible. There are many ways that can be used to the human brain

which provide unlimited data on the structure and functions of the human brain.

Explain if there are still pathways to be explored in our understanding of the human brain.

The current state of research on the human brain show humankind understands the basic

functions of the brain and its importance in activities, memory, and reaction. For example, the

synaptic and hippocampal connection has made significant contribution to understanding the

formation and assessment of memories. In addition, scientists understand the connection

structure of the brain, development of psychopathic and mental disorders (Huang & Luo, 2015).

However, the human brain is still evolving and needs further exploration.

As an individual thinks new thoughts, take part in new behaviors, and practice new skills,

neural pathways form. The repetition of these behaviors and thoughts strengthens creates new

pathways, leading to emergence of new habits emerge, and the rewiring of the brain to these

habits. Meanwhile, pathways and individual no longer use weaken, become hostile and

impassible. This neuroplasticity of the brain gives people the potential to have their brain at

optimal capability towards improved cognitive function memory (Kvarnstrom, 2015). It also

leads to a new way of conceptualizing new addiction. The advancement in technology and

science, paves ways to understand the connections of the brain. Understanding how new

behaviors and habits change the pathways in the brain can help explore the brain further.

Therefore, understanding the human brain helps open new pathways to enhance research,

policies, education and practice.

Analyze how the field of computer science could aide psychopathologist in understanding

the human mind.

Over the years, there has been significant technological advancements in various disciplines

that have sped up progress. In psychology, computer science has had significant impact. It helps

in questionnaires, experiments, establishing important research technique and studies involving

large human interaction (Luiselli & Fischer, 2016). Also, psychologists can analyze variable like

aptitude, personality traits, behavior and cognitive functions. There is a connection between

computers and brains. Computers solve the same problems that brain solve but they rely on

different hardware.

Using MRI and CAT scans of the human brain can help in understanding the structure of the

brain. Using tools of artificial intelligence like image processing and computer vision helps

visualize and process actual neurons of the brain (Luiselli & Fischer, 2016). This is achieved by

computer vision algorithms, which identify objects in video and images. Using computers in

MRI and CAT scans helps identify any underlying problem in the brain. It also provides

psychopathologist with a deeper understanding on how the human brain processes information.

Also, advances in computer science have exponentially increased the size of analyzing, curating

and sharing of huge datasets. Therefore, psychopathologist rely on computer science to study the

human brain through scans and MRIs.

Genome-wide range mapping has helped in identifying many genetic variants which lead to

various brain disorders. In addition, psychopathologists can fully comprehend the human brain

and how these comprehensions affect the human health and society (Luiselli & Fischer, 2016).

Also, computational neuroscience helps psychopathologist comprehend mental abilities like

learning, motor control, and perception. This artificial system uses tools from computer science,

mathematics, and engineering to plan theories that are implemented by computer programs. The

current system comprises speech recognition, face recognition, and language understanding.

These theories are inspired by finding on biological systems which provides psychopathologists

with theoretical models to investigate. In addition, several computational theorists have

developed theories on neurons which investigate factors like memories (Luiselli & Fischer,

2016). Thus, computer science has led to development of computational theories that help

psychopathologist study the human brain.

Computer science can help psychopathologist understand the human mind in firefighters. For

example, the recent system that tracks stress of firefighters. Psychopathologists can examine how

brain traumas affect the body in several ways like loss of ability to hear, talk or walk. Computer

scientists use artificial neurons which are used in network models to help recognize certain

location. This is similar as the brain which comprises complex neural network models. With the

help of research by computer scientists, psychopathologists can use artificial networks to show

memories, recognition and place attachment (Luiselli & Fischer, 2016). Thus, computer science

has largely helped psychopathologist understand the human brain better because they rely on

theoretical and practical approaches.

Describe tools that could aide or treat those suffering from deviant or even criminal

psychological conditions that you expect seeing.

Majority of criminal offenders contribute their behavior to psychological problems. Mentally

disordered offenders include insanity defense, personality disorder and substance abuse problem.

This will continue to be a problem if not treated appropriately. There are some tools to treat

incomprehensible. However, the human behavior provides an exceptional tool for understanding

individual mental capacity and psychology. Therefore, understanding the pathways of the human

brain can help psychologists, psychopathologists, and other professional treat deviant behaviors

and tendencies. Also, computer science can help psychopathologist understand the human brain

for better treatment of deviant behavior. Therefore, the exploration of the human brain is a

continuous process.

defiant behaviors like inpatient and outpatient psychological treatment like cognitive-behavioral

therapy. CBT believes many people can realize their behavior and thoughts, and correct them

(Craske, 2010). Deviant behaviors among adolescents and adults results from personal

experience and learned behavior. CBT helps individuals improve their problem-solving skills,

moral reasoning, social skills and impulse control.

Using virtual reality therapy is another tool that has helped reach and treat many patients.

The virtual reality therapy is advancing to apps for computers and phones to elevate mental

health issues like exposure or cognitive behavior, PTSD, phobias and anxiety disorders (North &

North, 2016). With advancement in computer science, there might be a creation of systems that

can restore an individual’s hearing ability with the use of a small device. In addition, computer

science might develop ways of diminishing deviant behavior by altering behavior through shock

treatments, implants, or remote controls. For example, shock treatment signals the brain when an

individual thinks about deviant acts without their explicit knowledge. This field has evolved over

years.

Conclusion

In summary, the human brain remains one of the complex systems of the body. Scientists

and philosophers have tried understanding the human brain, and they concluded it is
