LEARNING

PROJECT-BASED

LEARNING

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a

teaching method that allows

students to engage with the natural

world actively and pursue

meaningful projects. In such a

learning model, the students are

given tasks that they work on for an

extended period, which involves

solving real-world problems and

answering complex questions

(Aldabbus, 2018) .

BENEFITS

PBL helps deepen the

understanding of the core

academic contents by applying it

to create a meaningful, engaging

learning environment. This process

allows the students to show what

they know by presenting the body

and products of work in a format

that embodies deep learning and

knowledge. As a result, this

approach makes students think

differently about themselves as

learners.

This model helps the student demonstrate

their skill and knowledge in creating

presentations and products for a real

audience.

As a result, the student can think critically , developing deep

content knowledge, and sharpening their

communication skills. PBL unleashes the

creative and contagious energy among the

teachers.

EXAMPLE OF

HUMANITIES LEARNING

EXPERIENCE Interdisciplinary learning supports

learners to use skills and knowledge

from different disciplines and apply

them to enhance their connection

and make real connections across

the appropriate subjects and

disciplines. For example, students

can pitch their ideas and develop

business plans that aim to solve

societal needs (Aldabbus, 2018) .

The students could choose to work

independently or as a group to create, design, or launch their products in

front of community leaders and classmates.

This process allows the students to showcase their

communications and critical thinking skills, and problem-

solving abilities.

Learning Management System1. This system streamlines the communication between the teachers and the student regarding the course content to allow flexible pedagogy.

This system also college data across the different school activities (Forsyth & Hesson, 2017).

More importantly, it helps in recording the student activities undertaken by the students outside the classroom

2. Video Quiz

The video quiz can be integrated into the online video after-class topic discussion.

After concept introduction, incorporating problem-solving would lead to better knowledge retention, enabling the learner to master the core contents.

The quizzes are crucial in increasing the learner's time on task and committing more of their time in practice. Better knowledge retention ensures a more productive class discussion.
