Topic: preventing sexually transmitted disease
Epidemiological Rationale for Topic (Statistics Related to Topic): According to the data collected from CDC, there is an alarming rate of how teenagers are engaging in sexual intercourse. According to the studies conducted, only 40 percent of the teenagers that were interviewed had never had sex. 40 percent had sexual intercourse two months prior this study. 60 percent of the teenagers who had sexual intercourse did not use protection the last time they had sex. 80 percent of the girls never used birth control pills to prevent sex after their last intercourse. 15 percent of the interviewees had had sex with more than two people. According to CDC, more than 50% of the new reported STDS annually are among people aged below 15-24 years (CDC, 2016).

The participants will express their sexual feelings towards either the opposite or same sex. They will also express interest about their sexual bodies and pose queries regarding their bodies and sex.
Learning Theory to Be Utilized:
In my teaching, I will utilize social development theory. According to Vygotsy, “social interaction precedes development, cognition and consciousness which are the end product of socialization and social behavior” (Milkowski, 2020). I believe that the biggest influence for the teenagers in their lives is peer pressure. I will therefore use this as the basis of showing them how they can use their interactions positively. This I will do by using demonstrations and activities that will demonstrate the interactions so that the members will learn from one another. Since I will be dealing with youths, I will use platforms such as facebook which is much engrained in the culture of this group to show them how they can interact socially and thus steering them toward comprehending the content of proposal. Goal: STD 1: increasing awareness on STDs, to reduce the infections (Chlamydia) among the youths. In 2016, more than 10 percent of youths aged between 15-24 years tested positive of Chamlydia when they visited family planning clinics in the last one year STD-6 reducing the rate of Gonorrhea It is reported that 2 out of every 100 patients visiting family planning healthcare have gonorrhea. STD-7; reducing domestic transmission of primary and secondary syphilis In 2017, there were 8 new cases of both primary and secondary syphilis per 100000 persons. STD-10: reducing the proportion of young girls with HPV Between the years 2015 a 2016, there were more than 10 percent f young females who tested positive for HPV ( Banspach, et al., 2016 )
How Does This HP2020 Objective Relate to Alma Ata’s Health for All Global Initiatives
Alma Ata’s global initiative recognizes barriers like health issues are not isolated within one country and if country is not healthy then every other country is at risk. Global health should therefore be the goals of every single country. The goal therefore should be educating people to reduce the high rate of STDs in the society.
Develop Behavioral Objectives (Including Domains), Content, and Strategies/Methods: Behavioral Objective and Domain Example – Third-grade students will name one healthy food choice in each of the five food groups by the end of the presentation. (Cognitive Domain)
Content (be specific) Example – The Food Pyramid has five food groups which are…. Healthy foods from each group are…. Unhealthy foods containing a lot of sugar or fat are….
Strategies/Methods (label and describe) Example – Interactive poster presentation of theFood Pyramid. After an explanation of the poster and each food category, allow students to place pictures of foods on the correct spot on the pyramid. Also, have the class analyze what a child had for lunch by putting names of foods on the poster and discussing what food group still needs to be eaten throughout day.

2.most common STDs will be listed on the PowerPoint presentation, consisting o signs and symptoms, the way they are acquired, how they are treated and their prevention methods
2. the learners will then engage in interactive piece and later make facts and fictions about the topic
3. The learners will be able to define abstinence and hoe they can do this.
3. This will include the refusal skills to use
3. The students will be grouped into 3s ad be given a role play t demonstrate the refusal skills

Planned Evaluation of Objectives
Identifying the knowledge students have regarding STDs both before and after the lesson Open discussion forum about abstinence
Planned Evaluation of Goal: Evaluating the effect of the education at the end of the year through visiting school nurses and school counselor seeking to understand if the students went for counseling Obtaining statistics of STDs for the students at the end of the year even though I will just get the general overview due o HIPAA regulations
Hyphenation problem: role play role-play
Hyphenation problem: role play role-play
obtain (get): Obtaining Get
4. Learning about proper methods of protection such as properly inserting a condom
4. What to check before putting on a condom
4. Using a video to demonstrate how inspection can be conducted
Creativity: The power point was used to reverse the role of the teacher as the students were playing the role play. Use the video ensured the students were able to get the concept with ease. The role play allowed the students to see things brought in real life perspective
5
Planned Evaluation of Lesson and Teacher (Process Evaluation):
The teens will fill out various questionnaires to gauge their understanding on the topic at the end of the topic. Using numerical order, 1 would mean to disagree, 2 mean somewhat, 3 to mean I agree
1. Did you understand the topic 2. Did the presentation meet your expectations
And lastly, there would be a room for comments on the questionnaire
Barriers:
This includes feeling of embarrassment since this is a sensitive issue. This may be handled by establishing ground rules and showing them this is inevitable Disruptions such as outbursts; there should be rules to tame these types of students which should be adhered to.
Therapeutic Communication I will start by demonstrating how STDs are easily contracted. The room should be well arranged before the students comes in. the arrangement will be in a way that they will be able to interact. The students should at least know three new peers before beginning the lesson. An act of shaking hands can be used to show how moving from one sex partner to other might end up infecting the entire class. As I will be concluding I will reinstate how the diseases are spread through showing them a video and reminding them how they can protect themselves
