Executive Summary
Regarding the at-risk youths, they can face difficult challenges that in most cases are
hard to overcome. There are many problems and challenges that are associated with at-risk

motivating and most-importantly, encouraging the youth that come into contact with the
program. This mentorship program will comprise a certain number of individuals who are
passionate about the youth and are interested and highly motivated to help change their lives.
As a group and team, the mentorship program will work hand-in-hand to ensure that the
youth are well mentored, taught and motivated to take on life in a much more positive
direction. The overall purpose is to ensure that the future for these youth is secured and
therefore the local communities and businesses at large do not end up suffering as a result of
the youth. One of the main goals of the step-up brothers and sister’s mentorship program is to
ensure that the youth transit into adulthood smoothly and with a purpose.

youth such as being forced to make poor decisions, failing in school and having a high
chance of ending up behind bars. Lack of guidance and support from their families for those
who have them, is a key aspect of leading these youths into the system. In this summary,
we’ll offer all the necessary information regarding my proposal on a mentorship program
called step-up brothers and sisters.
Purpose
These kinds of youths live in communities that are usually of lower income and in
most cases, they are found at home with single parents. Therefore, this usually means that
they have unstable backgrounds and their environment is prevalent to crime and high levels
of poverty. The main purpose of step-up brothers and sisters is to make sure that these
affected youths are given a chance at accessing these opportunities just like the rest of the
youths. Step-up brothers and sisters mentorship program has a great commitment at ensuring
that not only the youth are offered help to curb some of these challenges but also the entire
community gets some of this assistance. Therefore, with this grant in hand, the step-up
brothers and sisters mentorship program has a huge chance of ensuring that the right kind of
assistance is offered to the youth and therefore, they are protected by this help and helped to
avoid ending up in jail or worse.
