Fair treatment of all employees always promotes harmony and a good working environment. But when employees are treated unequally, conflicts arise since others feel they are being discriminated against. Bullying at work has been a leading cause of conflicts in the work place (Einarsen, Hoel, & Cooper, 2011). No one can be comfortable working in an environment where they are not treated well. Strategies of Resolving Conflicts Proper communication Focus on the major problem Understand before acting Humanize the problem

No conflict can be solved if there is no understanding of the root cause. No human is perfect and we can all make mistakes. This is the most important thing conflicting parties should understand. They should be told his in a friendly language. By sharing similar experiences and how you have previously dealt with the issues can help bring a sense of normalcy to the issue and allow for a calm and composed approach to conflict resolution (Jenkins, 2017). The problem will be easily solved by focusing on the conflicting parties and the main problem. 8

According to Jenkins (2017), focusing you energy to finding the solution to the issue at hand is important even though there may be distractions from other people’s actions and emotions. Look forward to a better outcome rather than what happened. When resolution to the conflict is reached, it is important to celebrate the result and encourage the same actions whenever conflicts arise. 9
