Introduction
President Barack Obama passed the affordable care act in 2010, and it was presented to improve the USA's healthcare system.
The healthcare system of the United States of America is well-organized, but the prices of treatment are high enough that the middle-class economy and minorities like Blacks cannot afford it.
The affordable care act makes efforts to enhance access to healthcare and reduce the cost of the treatment processes.
The quality of treatment has to be maintained through ACA.
The era remained beneficial for the health sector of the USA because nearly 50 reforms were made between 2010-2017.
There were different areas of health in which the interventions were made, including public health, disease prevention, and community health promotion.
There are other impacts of the affordable care act on the population and community health.
The paper will also discuss the Hospital Quality Initiative (2012), the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) (2015), the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) (2015), and the American Rescue Plan Act (2021).
