1. Discuss three potential barriers that you would anticipate when providing care to Jose based on his age and culture.
2. Provide an example of how you would overcome each of the three barriers through the implementation of multidimensional care strategies.

Discuss the potential disease processes and signs and symptoms related to the disease process that Jose may be exhibiting?
Jose is showing signs and symptoms of enlarged prostate. He is also at risk for a urinary tract infection due to the enlarged prostate. "Increased risk of bladder infection in men may be linked to an enlarged prostate" (Gargollo, 2020). To evaluate the symptoms of enlarged prostate in men you should ask these questions " Initiating urine flow is difficult A burning sensation or other discomfort occurs with urination, the force of the urine stream is decreased, persistent dribbling or leaking of urine is present" (Ignatavicius, Workman, Rebar & Heimgartner, 2021). If they answer yes to any of these questions, they are possibly showing symptoms of an enlarged prostate. One more symptom of an enlarged prostate is urinary retention. This is actually secondary to the enlarged prostate.
How would you provide multidimensional care to include cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, physical, and emotional needs for Jose?
I would ensure to take his culture into effect. Commonly in the Hispanic culture the male is the main person who brings in the money for the household, so ensuring he has proper support for the time he is in the hospital for getting diagnosed and ensuring he had the proper resources to afford the medications needed. I would ensure that he is physically taken care of my treating him with the prostate enlargement and how to prevent it from happening again. TH ensure would also want to include the lab tech for all the blood that needs to be drawn to fully diagnose Jose with an enlarged prostate. The nurse would perform the initial assessment on Jose. The nurse would then consult the doctor on the findings and from there the doctor might do another assessment or order the labs to ensure a proper diagnosis is being made. You would want to include pharmacy as well for any medications that might be prescribed to Jose.
