WEEK 14 REFLECTION AND DISCUSSION

Vandana Patel

A bureaucracy is a large organization made out of selected authorities in which authority is partitioned among a few managers. Bureaucratic management has written by hand rules and guidelines. Bureaucratic pioneers must be conscientious. They ought to be very much informed of each task and its related details. In bureaucratic administration, there is an arrangement of decides that plots the rights and obligations of subordinates. Bureaucratic organizational structure has a very much characterized positioning of power. It comprises various positions in a chain of importance where higher position official controls and deals with the lower rank officials—choice and advancement of subordinates independent of capability and specialization. In the bureaucratic organizational structure, each employee is limited by terms and arrangements. Employees in the bureaucratic structure should be excellent at keeping up the overall organized structure. A considerable workforce is to be controlled (Biesbroek et al., 2018).

Thus, the pioneer must be trustworthy and gutsy. They should be confident and focused on their work. They ought to be equipped for withstanding perilous circumstances. The Organizational structure explains how specific exercises are coordinated to accomplish the objectives of an association. An organization structure is formally segregated via grouping and coordination. Several vital elements are considered during this grouping process, such as the individual's specialization, can the organization be structured according to departments such as quality, design, and marketing. The appropriate chain of command is established, and the span of control available to managers. It also includes significant considerations such as centralizing or decentralizing power. These would have to be discussed more in-depth to get a better understanding. The first of seven categories include work specialization. Here, the organization is subdivided into specific job categories. For example, mechanical, electrical, software. According to their specialty (Bishu & Kennedy, 2020).

This will result in higher productivity from the individual as the person would be surrounded by skilled individuals nurturing a challenging environment and helping more in terms of solving issues. Then there is a grouping in terms of the department. Here people are based on functional groups such as test teams, design teams, or marketing teams. The advantages here being that the everyday tasks available can be coordinated between the engineers effectively to have much time saved as similar work tend to follow a similar path that is efficient once well established. The third key aspect is establishing a chain of command. Here, there should be a flow of information established, such as a technician first contacts an engineer, then the engineer to his manager, then the manager to the VP. This would allow the entire chain to be aware of the issue. Even though the disadvantage is that the information flow takes time, the advantages mostly outweigh the drawbacks. This establishing will ensure that only priority tasks are carried up as we go up the chain (Robbins & Judge, 2018).
