The true definition of motivation is when someone has the desire or willingness of someone to do something.  Extrinsic motivation is when you're motivated to perform an activity to earn a reward or avoid punishment. Intrinsic motivation is when you perform an activity for its own sake and personal rewards. When it comes to motivation at work it totally depends on the person. If you are more of a motivated person at work then the job would be done the best way it could be.  My way of motivation would be I went to cosmetology school during my junior and senior year of high school. I had to go to high school for most of the day then go to cosmetology school for four extra hours a day for two years to be able to earn 1400 hours to earn my license. If I didn’t stay motivated for those two years then I would have lacked motivation and just not finished. I am now a cosmetologist and I could tell just in cosmetology school or even at the salon I work at now if the people around me are really motivated to do hair the right way. When we do hair you have to have patience but also motivation to satisfy the customer. Another example of a way that I am motivated is I’m in school and working two jobs. Not only am I in school full time but I also work two part time jobs.I am motivated to work so I can save money and pay for my schooling. School is a job on it’s own, anyone in college would say that. I also work at a salon four days out of the week and I am a server on the weekends. On the weekends I work doubles, in the morning I work  at the salon, and at night I serve, then I get back up and do it all over again. I believe when I stay motivated to do a job the results come out so much better. I will be super excited to be done with school and just work full time, but it takes time and motivation to get there. It is important for everyone to stay motivated at all times when it comes to any task. Motivation is key to earn any sort of success in life and I hope to stay motivated forever.
