Hello Professor and class the previous three presidents allocated billions of dollars to fight the war on opioid addiction an

large portion of the money was utilized for medication assistant treatment, clinicians to support clients in the recovery

According to the U.S Department of Health and Human Services increased prescripitons of

opioid medications leading to widespread misuse of both prescription and non

prescription opioid before it became clear that

ations could indeed be highly addictive.

Health and human services state that as of June 2020 48,006 deaths were

attributed to overdosing on synthetic opioids.

I chose a topic concerning opioid addiction and recovery.

I started a new job working with wo

men who are suffering from

substance abuse.

As a new employee i am intrigued with this process, I have many unanswered questions.

I see the clients on

an outpatient basis and another residential group for up to 21 days so my PICOT question is based on me

not having the

opportunity to see these women return back to society and mending those broken relationships.

PICOT Do adults recovering from substance abuse that receive psychotherapy compared to no behavioral therapy have a

decrease incidence of relapse

and a better repoire with family after six months of rehabilitation services?
