Dear Japanese Kitchen,

The service at the Japanese Kitchen restaurant changed my life. While I did not eat out often, the incredible service provided at your restaurant led to a series of events which has shaped the direction of my life.

Late on a rainy evening in June 2009, I had prolonged any dinner plans far into the evening. I did not have any food left in my apartment and was far too exhausted to go shopping. Instead, I decided to visit your restaurant, as it was one of the only restaurants still open. Unknowingly at the time, I had walked in fifteen minutes before your scheduled closing time. Even still, I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, and the food was amazing!

The wonderful food and exceptional customer service quickly turned me into a regular customer. Since that night, I visited your restaurant every Sunday until winter 2010, when I met a young lady who was also dining alone once cold Sunday night. After building up the courage to speak with this lady, we got to know each other and made it our weekly tradition to meet at the Japanese Kitchen and have dinner together. After three years of weekly date nights at your restaurant, she became my wife.

My wife and I have been married for seven years now and are raising three wonderful boys. I often wonder what would be if I had not become a regular weekly customer at your restaurant. But because of your amazing food and service, I continued to return which led to meeting my wife.

Respectfully,

Chili's Corporations: To whomever it may concern,

Good evening, my name is Caitlin Mullins. Last night myself and my family where attending one of your Chili's Restaurants, and the experience was very dissatisfying. Once we had arrived, we were seated at our table. Soon later a larger party had arrived and sat across from us (my party was only 3 people; the other party consisted of 7 people). The other table had been served first, aka their drinks, appetizers, and had already ordered their food. Meanwhile my table had not even met our server yet, we asked and waited patiently, and no one came. For restaurants, if a party comes in, they are immediately approached by a waiter/waitress and served. Especially not 20 minutes later. After 20 minutes we still did not even receive our drinks, meanwhile the other party is already eating their food. Who came in after us! We asked for the manager and she/he had said their apologies and served us them self. But still, the experience and lack of concern was very disappointing. Call your corporations and have their waitstaff step up their game. Please and thank you.

Dear Walmart,

Last year I went to Walmart to buy a futon to put in one of the bedrooms, and I later found out that none of the hardware was in the box. I called the manufacturer and was on hold for over an hour and no one had answered. I called the manufacturer again and someone answered and said it would take up to three weeks for them to ship the hardware. I called Walmart customer service department and they said I could return or exchange the item if I still had the receipt. I located the receipt in my truck and decided to go exchange this futon for another one.

I got to Walmart and stood in line for a half hour to return the futon. I showed the receipt and they took the futon back and gave me a full refund. I went back into the store, but I was not able to find the same futon. I looked around for an employee to help me. I found an employee, and they searched in the back and no other futons were back there either. This Walmart location only had the futon that would cost an extra fifty dollars available. I decided to go ahead and purchase the more expensive futon. When I got home, all of the hardware was in the box. I put the futon together and it looked a lot better than the last one I purchased. It would have save a lot of time and hassle if customers were able to look inside the box before making a purchase to avoid these issues.
