What supporting content does Dr. Koonjbearry provide to justify his position?

Dr. Koonibearry mentioned the reason why it will get worse before it will get better is because he explains how data was never designed to be a secured network. Now, that our world of businesses and transactions (that deals with sensitive information all over the internet) relies so much on the internet. Since we, in many parts of the world rely on the internet in exchange for information I think Dr. Koonibeary is sensing since our technology has been progressively growing as well as those who are able to cut through security (such as hackers) from information systems is also still finding innovations on ways to help make systems more protective in the security realm. It is almost like, since security has been an issue when it comes down to sensitive information but yet so are the ideas to create a more protective way to announce your identity. Voice recognition is a good source of identity; we all have different sound and tones in our voices. So yes, it seems as though the reason why it gets worse is because all the kinks are still being configured in order to find out the best ways to be able to transfer data securely and to be able to keep up with the hackers’ next scheming move.

Our Instructor Guidance highlights security breach predictions provided by the Experian data breach. Are these predictions in agreement with Dr. Koonjbearry’s position?

In Dr. Koonibearry’s view he suggests in order to dodge such breaches that the CIA Triad must be applied. I am not sure if Experian, a business I thought as one of the most trustworthy companies would even think about selling information off to another country or why they would want to sell personal information about people to fraudulent people. McCarthy shared, “The worst data breach in U.S. history happened when  Experian -owned Court Ventures sold information directly to a Vietnamese fraudster service” (McCarthy, 2014). I am just still confused why Experian would do such a bad and shallow business move to their customers. I think the predictions Dr. Koonibearry are positive and I agree that companies need to be more shielding to be able to handle congenital information from people’s personal data. After doing research I found out how Experian was caught off guard by someone disguised as a private investigator and Experian fell for it. According to that research, “the proprietors of Superget.info had gained access to Experian’s databases by posing as a U.S.-based private investigator” (Krebs, 2014).  Experian made it far too easy for this Imposter to take information. I know after this breach happened, many people feel not likely to trust Experian with such personal data even if Experian is claiming they now only offer via device intelligence as verification.

Are these predictions in agreement with Dr. Koonjbearry’s position?

I do think that Dr Koonsbearry predictions are on the right path of developing a more unique identifier in defying of what is actually coming from the authentic sender and or receiver. I agree with his predictions not only because many banking industries already offer the option to either log in with a unique pin number or if you want to be even more detailed, you can log in just by face recognition. Therefore I can agree with the predictions, since they have already taken place.

After reading and watching our required course material, do you agree with Dr. Koonjbearry’s position? Why or why not?

Yes, I do agree with the Triad application, with all businesses or any transactions dealing with the use of information systems. I can relate to the TRIAD regulation. I work with Government, State and Universities from all over the state here in Texas. I know just how sensitive these files of data are and what they hold, I know because when any type of information is regarding over 10,000 individuals’ social security numbers this calls for files to be transmitted through a secure file source. Every month I receive encrypted files that hold sensitive data, the only way to be able to retrieve and decrypt these files is by following  is  through using the trusted sources I am provided with to unlock these files

Dr. Rajin Koonjbearry talks about the CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) Triad. Confidentiality ensures authorized access to data. Integrity assures reliable data. Availability assures data is available when required. All of these components are needed to protect against threats.

The fact that in recent news reports data breaches are on the rise confirms Dr. Koonjbearry’s predictions. For every security solution, there is a hacker whose job is to find ways to gain unauthorized access. As Dr. Koonjbearry’s mentions, if data needs to be protected, we must have controls available to provide this protection.

I agree with Dr. Koonjbearry’s position. It is sad but true about the security risks surrounding organizational information systems. According to Dr. Koonjbearry, the infrastructure was never designed to be a secure network. Even with all the security concerns, the internet plays an important role in our personal and professional lives. I agree with Dr. Koonjbearry that if the internet were to go down, it would be a major change in our way of living. It seems that many people are willing to face the risk of data security threats. Malware is a common threat used to cause damage, due to system vulnerabilities.
