RELI 215 Major World Religions Research Paper Grading Rubric.

The development of a topic, discovering sources, performing research, writing and revising a research

paper is an essential means of assessing our progression toward and eventual achievement of the

Learning Outcomes identified in our syllabus for this course. Student performance will be evaluated

according to the following criteria and account for 30% of each student’s course grade:

Paper Form (Length, Margins, Font-size, Grammar, Punctuation, etc.) – /10

Source Form (1 Primary Source, 2 Secondary Sources, Clear and Consistent Citation Format, etc.) – /5

Source Use (i.e. Enhance and Inform the Topic v. Serve Little to No Purpose or Distract) – /5

Paper Content (Topic Selection, Development, Insights, Expression, Interest, etc.) – /10
