Final Paper – Part One

I am majoring in communication with a minor in digital media. In this paper, I will try to connect those topics with the concept of religion and issues that are related to religion.

Religious institutions receive and transmit a message. Their purpose is to express the beliefs and practices to the faithful, to future believers, to non-believers and also to the media who can give a good or bad image of that religion.

The communication of religious institutions could be similar to the communication of a company but some differences are present. First of all, the communication of religious institutions has no market purpose. Its purpose is not to promote values, a brand, to sell a product but, on the contrary, to make believers or non-believers adhere to an ideology, a religion.
The communication of religious institutions is delicate, almost taboo because it is often associated with proselytism and the objectivity of the people analyzing it is regularly questioned.
Then, with the evolution of the means of communication and globalization, our knowledge and knowledge are supported. We are aware that many religions and doctrines exist. For this reason, religious institutions must communicate more in order to expand their influence and face competition.

How can religions promote themselves and make people adhere to their ideology, in a world where media and social media control our lives without declaring war to other religions and discredit them?
