In the entire Gospel even Jesus's closest followers could not acknowledge him. In Marks gospel he speaks of the passion and the good news that will come about. Mark Ch.15:39 says "When the centurion who stood facing him saw how he breathed his last he said, Truly this man was the Son of God." The first person to recognize him as the son of god is a gentile, a non believer. This is significant because this was his word that after his sacrifice those who persecuted him will see him for how he truly is.

In this module i chose to discuss the topic of Jesus's acknowledment and those who refused to believe in his identity. Although Mark was not one of his Disciples he is well recognized for being a strong and faithful follower. Eventually all of Jesus' followers started to read and be aware of the stories that Mark was telling were true and mark was able to tell them that the miracles and words of wisdom that Jesus himself had taught through his early journey. At this point his followers and Disciples were believing that he was messiah . The most significant part about them recognizing him as messiah. They believed he was a Messiah but were not fully believing that he was the actual son of God. At this moment they were not fully understanding how significant it was that (the son of God) Jesus was so important at this historical time.
