Content Organization

3. Who the memo is written to and the subject must match the scenario you chose.

4. The first sentence(s) should explain the background, purpose, problem and objective of the memo.

(See scoring rubric)

5. Second paragraph should discuss correlation, indicate the correlation coefficient (multiple R) and explain what it means. Be sure to mention the sample size.

6. End of second paragraph or beginning of third paragraph 3rd paragraph explains that because of the high correlation you performed a regression analysis.

7. Then explain the purpose and results of any regression analysis. (See #3 under “Your memo must include”). These are R squared, the coefficient of determination (explain meaning) and an equation which enable you to estimate one factor if you know a second factor.

8. Next two paragraphs present the findings of your regression analysis.

9. Your scatter plot should be included in the memo or as an attachment. Your Excel regression results should be attached to your memo and referred to in your memo.
