Being a health care student is vital to engage in clinical exercises in the public arena which applies the abilities mastered and explain what we have. Internships for students likewise allow the students an opportunity to become accustomed to their obligations prior to landing the position and expanding their experience. Internships are vital for students as they are allowed an opportunity to apply what they realized, in actuality.

During the intern period commenced, I have worked for majority hours maintaining the ICARE a web based on the immunization registry. My main job was to handle requests for immunization from clients and helping the delivery of immunization records. I also helped the supervisors to improve the trend in vaccine provision and flu shots. The department gave me a chance to interact with different healthcare providers who needed access to the ICARE. We also worked in administering the VFC vaccines within the state. It is the responsibility of the Illinois department of health to provide the vaccine in the entire state except for Chicago city. The federal government assisted in the provision of vaccines for children aged 18 years and below.

During the intern period, I was lucky to experience heart awareness month. People of Illinois remember the effects of heart diseases and create awareness to everyone to take charge of themselves in protection. I was associated with different webinars including heart sicknesses. I understood that Illinois has a far-reaching wellbeing program that expects to make coronary illness mindfulness by supporting wellbeing assets to battle heart infections. The experience about heart disease made me study further and realized the differences between coronary heart disease and cardiovascular.

During my second week, I was processing emails sent by medical providers obtaining access to state registry requesting immunization records and helping ICARE staff conduct children's health insurance program study on healthcare providers to improve on the services provided. I also participated in a WebEx meeting where we discussed safe practices to be initiated during COVID 19 for our safety and those in need of our medical care. Guidelines for safety like wearing a mask, sanitizing, washing hands regularly, wearing masks, and social distancing were the most insisted measures for protection while offering duties. When performing duties, the safety of workers was also discussed where various risks and poor working environment were discussed and how to improve on them. AS an intern, I must attend all meetings held by the health department and give updates on the week's performance to the seniors.

I experienced the black history month celebration, which was held on my second week of internship. Black history month is celebrated annually in recognition of the achievements made by the African Americans and their central role in the history of the US. African American history event grew from the brainchild historian Cater G, Woodson among other known Black Americans for their great deeds to the Nation.

Illinois starting mass COVID 19 vaccination our immunization section had to keep up with the I-CARE, a COVID 19 antibody, the executives and activities involved, including requesting, transportation, storage, taking care. The city of Chicago was the solitary spot that didn't get immunization from the state government as it was under the observation of the central government however Illinois and Chicago divisions of wellbeing cooperated in guaranteeing all plans advanced as planned. We held a gathering before the departure of the mass inoculation where we examined the designs for a viable and wonderful vaccination measure where each office was given its duty.

IDPH immunization group leads in preparing antibody orders and observes patients following and revealing unfavorable conditions and finding solutions to shortcomings in the process. Due to the government's request to certify all people who receive the vaccine, we held a meeting to discuss the action to take in ensuring that everybody who took the vaccine acquires an Immunization record/card. Registration of vaccination is also to be electronically for easier verification.

Experience in the internship has helped me realize how various departments work together to ensure that Citizens of America are safe health-wise. Having worked closely with various departments, I have realized the interconnection of different departments, how they rely on each other, and the importance of dividing works into various departments. Working on processing emails and linking information to the intended person or department has also improved my knowledge of communication chains in the health sector. It observes transparency and quick response on requests when information is received at the right time. The internship is progressing well, and I have learned a lot and it has played a great role in improving my work quality output.

Since the vaccination rate has increased within the state as the mass vaccination commence, there are many requests through email from health officers in different locations. Therefore, I will be much attached in my office for quick response to the requests as received since most of them are urgent and may cause delays if not catered for immediately.
