Section one: HRM Competencies

Amazon Inc. is an American based international technology Company that indulges in e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. Amazon was primary a boo seller Company but has expanded to accommodate significant business lines including -commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. Significantly, the Companies market share is globally, with established stores in regions such as Germany, United States of America, Canada, Japan and France. Notably, Amazon Inc. and human resource management is indispensable as it provide critical function and application for effective human capital search, acquisition, retention, training and compensation and Collins, 201). Notably, Amazon Inc.’s human resource management is vital for business strategy and partnership and gives a platform of shaping business operation strategies in the firm. Significantly, the Amazon Inc. has accommodated employee’s relationship within an organization, acknowledging culture and alignment with business strategies through Human Resource management. Similarly, the principles of HRM such as relationship management, business acumen and communication have critical applications in Amazon Inc.’s HRM framework.

A robust communication skill among HRM leaders is vital for effective communication, feedback and decision-making. Similarly, the Amazon Inc. applies the principle of communication through effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to ensure collaborative, effective and cohesive decision-making. For example, Amazon Inc. is geared towards improving and enhancing effective communication skills and workforce relationship through training programs. Another significant HRM principle acknowledged by Amazon Inc. is the relationship management that defines ability to manage interaction among employees and organization towards team work and credibility. The Amazon Inc. fosters relationship management through strategic objectives aligning HRM function to the firm. Finally, the principle of business acumen describes ability to apply information in supporting organizations. For example the Amazon Inc. has accommodated big data analytics concepts in top talent search, acquisition and retention. Thus, the Amazon Inc. has accommodated relationship management, business acumen and communication for effective workforce and human capital management.

Section Tow: Compensation Approach

In Amazon Inc. HRM compensation approach accommodates fundamental theories including reinforcement, expectancy and agency theories. Notably as the HR, accommodating Balance sheet approach is fundamental in accommodating allowances, deductions and reimbursements, integrating home-country-based approach for compensation plan (SHRM, 2017). Notably, Reinforcement theory posits that reward-earning behavior has a tendency of repetition. Significantly, this theory resonates with reimbursements for effective HR manger roles and responsibilities for effective performance improvement. Similarly, Agency cost theory submits that employee and employer are significant stakeholders of an organization and creating a balance in their demands of agency cost is vital (Lazear, 2018). Significantly, the county home-based approach provides a platform to create discrepancies between employee and employer agency cost differences for equity. Finally, expectancy theory posits that employees are motivated to perform when an extra performance is recognized and reward. Thus, integrating balance sheet approach and home-country-based approach are necessary for effective HR manager at Amazon Inc. compensation plan.

Amazon Inc. is a multinational technology Company and integrating balance sheet approach and home-country-based approach may presents some shortcoming such as lacking equity due to economic and market differences. Similarly, it is cumbersome to achieve diversity and equity in workplace compensation due to lacking suing economic models in different regions.
