Ira E. Ritter -- Chairman, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer

Ira E. Ritter has extensive experience creating, building and managing diverse business enterprises. His success has been his ability to take ideas and grow major businesses. He serves as Chairman of Ritter Pharmaceuticals. In addition, he provides corporate management, strategic planning and financial consulting for a wide range of market segments. In the health and beauty sector, Ritter was President and Vice-Chairman of Quality King Inc, the nation’s largest wholesale distributor for health care products with $5 billion in annual revenues (ranked the 18th largest privately held company, Forbes Top 100 List). Simultaneously, he worked as President and Chairman of Rockwood, a business he developed that produced private label HBA products for major national retailers including GNC and K-Mart. In the entertainment sector he served as Chairman of ON-TV, a division of Oak Industries (NYSE Company), where he managed the television division initiating exclusive broadcasts of Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York professional baseball, basketball, and hockey games. During 1980-1985, he produced the first televised home shopping program and directed development of the largest “pay-per-view” channel system for its time. In the personal services market, Ritter grew a people-to-people business, Elite Personal Search and Lifemates personal matchmaking service, in the U.S. and Canada. In the finance field, He served on the board of directors for the Martin Lawrence Art Galleries (NYSE Company). During his 20 years as a publisher, he produced monthly national consumer magazines including Playgirl. and released books that included It’s OK to Say No children's series and Patti Regan Davis’ Homefront. Ritter also has a long history of public service that includes appointments by three Governors to several State of California Commissions, including eight years served as Commissioner on the California Prison Industry Authority. In 1981, Ritter was honored with the City of Hope’s Man of the Year award.

Andrew J. Ritter -- Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder, President, Director and Corporate Secretary

Andrew J. Ritter co-founded Ritter Pharmaceuticals, Inc., upon his personal affliction with lactose intolerance and spearheaded a global team of cross-functional, clinical, manufacturing, and regulatory experts to design and develop its first novel therapeutic called, RP-G28. This product has been successfully tested in a Phase 2a trial and has the potential to become the first FDA-approved drug for the treatment of lactose intolerance. The company was originally launched out of Ritter Naturals Sciences, a direct-to-consumer healthcare marketing company, founded by Ritter in 2004, which developed and commercialized digestive healthcare products: Lactagen®, Health Essentials™ and Better Digestion™. Ritter holds six patents and over fifteen additional international patents are pending. In addition, he has co-published articles in the following journals: Nutrition Journal, Gastroenterology, and Food Technology. He has also given presentations at major healthcare and medical conferences such as Digestive Disease Week, among others. Since 2010, he has also acted as Managing Partner of Stonehenge Partners, a private investment fund, which provides working capital and executive leadership to a variety of businesses and industries including, real estate, technology, biotechnology, entertainment and service businesses. Samuel O. Lynn has over 25 years of financial accounting experience, serving in senior leadership roles within public accounting and banking industries. In addition, Mr. Lynn is currently a Managing Partner of Chord Advisors, LLC. From 2007 to 2014, Mr. Lynn was the Americas Director of Accounting Policy for Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. Mr. Lynn held a similar position with UBS AG from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Jones has over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles at the interface between science and business. He has a broad therapeutic background in both biological and small molecule drugs and his positions have included work in business development, fund raising, operations, drug development, and licensing. Prior to joining Ritter Pharma, Mr. Jones worked as Chief Operating Officer at Sherrington Pharmaceuticals. Larry I. Good -- Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Good is a board certified gastroenterologist who has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and has served as the Chief Physician in Gastroenterology at South Nassau Communities Hospital and Lydia E. Hall Hospital in New York. Dr. Good is nationally recognized for his clinical experience with clostridium difficile and has conducted extensive clinical research in many fields including biliary lipid metabolism, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease. He has published numerous abstracts and articles in various journals such as Gastroenterology and the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Additionally, he has over 20 years of experience serving on advisory boards for major pharmaceutical companies primarily focused on providing input towards the development of gastrointestinal treatments, including most notably rifaximin. Dr. Good received his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina, served his residency there, and was Chief Resident in Medicine. He was a Fellow in Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Tidwell has over 30 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience in various business development and marketing positions. Prior to joining Ritter, Mr. Tidwell spent nine years as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Cell Genesys. AnnKatrin Petersen-Jappelli -- Chief Medical Officer

AnnKatrin Petersen-Jappelli has more than 25 years of drug development experience. She has worked extensively on diverse therapeutic areas for global studies, notably Gastroenterology, HIV-AIDS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Transplant Medicine, Oncology and Infectious Diseases. Besides her extensive regulatory, medical and scientific knowledge, she has built international clinical research teams that were instrumental in the conduct of several Phase 2 and registration Phase 3 studies for groundbreaking HIV/AIDS treatments. She has worked for several small to mid-size biotech companies, including Agouron, Migenix, and Santarus. This included pivotal drug trials in infectious diseases and gastrointestistinal disorders for HIV, HCV, and enteric pathogens. Previously Dr. Petersen was the Director of Infectious Diseases at Pfizer, Project Leader for pancreatitis clinical research at Sandoz (Novartis) and previously Medical Monitor for the SandImmune and Sandostatin products. Jeff Garwin -- Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Garwin has over 30 years experience and expertise in a broad spectrum of medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and clinical development. In his previous position, Dr. Garwin was a Director of Medical Affairs, in Respiratory Health and a Medical Director of the Venture Group for GSK Consumer Healthcare. In this position, he supported R&D and commercial efforts including new product conceptualization and assisted in evaluating in-license or acquisition candidates. Dr. Garwin also developed clinical development plans for four anticipated projects and coordinated clinical development with regulatory, commercial, and new product development requirements. Lastly, he developed and supervised one Phase 1 PK/PD study as well as prepared clinical portions of FDA submissions. Before his position with GSK Consumer Healthcare, Dr. Garwin was a Director of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Solvay Pharmaceuticals. In this position, he managed clinical development of Men’s Health products globally, including the marketed product AndroGel 1% that achieved US sales exceeding $500 million in 2009. Supervised and approved writing of Clinical Study Reports. Dr. Garwin also developed and executed strategies for presentation of clinical information in FDA briefing documents and eCTD submissions. Jeffrey Benjamin has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Before joining Ritter Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Benjamin has consulted or worked for a diverse group of public and private Companies in financial services, technology, construction, managed services, retail, wholesale distribution and manufacturing. From 2015 to 2017, Benjamin served as Principal Consultant for Tatum where he was responsible for a variety of finance and accounting projects. During his tenure at Ocwen Financial Corporation, Benjamin successfully completed IPO's, negotiated and closed in excess of $1B of one-off term financing transactions. Benjamin began his career in New York City in public accounting and has worked in a variety of finance and accounting functions before to 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting & Information Systems from C.U.N.Y. Queens College. In addition, Benjamin is licensed in the State of New York as a certified public accountant, though is on inactive status.

Diane J. Plotkin -- Vice President, Clinical Development

Diane J. Plotkin has over 25 years of experience in global clinical drug development, both in large-scale pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies. From 2014-2017, Plotkin served as a clinical development consultant providing guidance on various clinical development topics, including strategic program planning, IND filing, CRO selection, clinical study design, conduct and analysis to biotechnology companies. From 2005-2014, Plotkin served as Senior Director of Clinical Development Worldwide for ActivX Biosciences, Inc., a subsidiary of Kyorin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where she was head of clinical development responsible for evaluating therapeutics for metabolic disorders and providing translational biology guidance for drug discovery. From 1991-2005, Plotkin conducted Phase II-IV trials at Merck Research Laboratories in cardiovascular, endocrine and metabolic therapeutic areas as well as lead teams in clinical development process improvement. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree Magna Cum Laude in Biology from Wheaton College, a PhD in Biology from University of Chicago and was a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biology at Yale University.

Ron is responsible for all aspects related to finances at Ritter Pharma. For the last ten years, Ron has worked as an independent consultant for numerous companies by assisting with banking, contracts, leases, operations, and strategic planning which include both private and public companies. Prior to starting his own company, Ron worked for KPMG, an international accounting firm, handling both public and private companies, financial reporting, and tax needs as well as numerous IPO’s. He also has thirty-nine years as a part-time professor teaching accounting at a number of colleges in the Los Angeles area. Ron received his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in

Steve Markowitz -- Director

Steve Markowitz s an active private investor, with a particular interest in and passion for applied science. He was a seed investor in Ritter Pharmaceuticals. Prior to private investing, Steve was founding chairman and CEO of MyPoints.com, the membership marketing company that he took public on NASDAQ in 1999. During his tenure, Steve led MyPoints in growing membership to 16 million consumers and annual revenue to $64 million. Before MyPoints, he worked as a securities analyst at Fidelity Investments and as a financial journalist at Dow Jones & Co., where his coverage included pharmaceutical companies.Steve earned his MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and his B.A. in East Asian Languages (high honors), also from UC Berkeley. Steve is a guest lecturer in the Entrepreneurship and New Venture Finance courses at Haas. He was honored as a Richard H. Holton Teaching Fellow in 2009.

Noah J. Doyle -- Director and Member of Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee

Noah Doyle has been an entrepreneur and investor for over 20 years. As an angel investor of Javelin Venture Partners, Noah has supported over a dozen start-ups including Keyhole (Google), Cantametrix (Gracenote), Amae Software (Verint), Nuvon, Aquea Scientific, Emdigo, Magnacash (Yaga), and i-mint India. Doyle directed the enterprise product line for Google’s geospatial products, Google Earth and Google Maps. He managed the Sales and Corporate Development functions at Keyhole, Inc., the venture capital backed company that created the first Web hosted digital earth model and was acquired by Google in 2004. Doyle helped establish the Internet loyalty rewards marketplace as a co-founder of MyPoints.com, the largest Internet loyalty program with over 6 million active members, where he led product management and business development functions from the company’s inception through an initial public offering and subsequent acquisition by United Airlines. Noah was based in Tokyo where he managed overseas sales and marketing for the OEM channel of Matsushita’s (Panasonic) communications equipment subsidiary in Japan. In other roles, he was chairman of the management board of the University of California, Berkeley’s campus bookstore, a $17 million retail operation, and also held product management and operations management roles at IBM/Rational (Pure Atria) and Oracle. Doyle holds M.B.A. and B.A. Economics degrees, as well as certificates in Management of Technology and Global Management from University of California – Berkeley..

William M. Merino -- Director and Member of Compensation, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee

William M. Merino is a former pharmaceutical senior executive with experience in worldwide drug and device registration, quality assurance, quality control, and drug safety. During his tenure as a senior executive, Merino had extensive interaction, and conducted negotiations, with senior members of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and foreign regulatory authorities. He skills also include drug development and the resolution of development issues. Merino served as the Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs for Warner Lambert Pharmaceuticals (1987-2000). While at Warner Lambert, he was responsible for the registration and approval of pharmaceuticals products with the FDA and external regulatory authorities. He was also tasked with ensuring quality assurance, quality control, and drug safety. Additionally, during his time at Warner Lambert, Merino served as a member of the Office of the Chairman, where his advice and experience were relied upon in making decisions regarding research direction and drug development. He developed a one year plan to expedite the registration of Lipitor in the US and 20 other countries. Moreover, Merino served as the President of the Regulatory Affairs Committee (RAC) within the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PMA), where he worked closely with senior FDA officials, as well as Congress. Merino was the Director of International Regulatory Affairs for Alcon Pharmaceuticals (1985-1987), where he was responsible for the registration of devices and pharmaceutical drugs in international countries. He was the Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs at G.D. Searle & Co., (1975-1985), where he worked with the FDA and regulatory agencies worldwide for the registration and approval of drugs both nationally and internationally. Before that, he was the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Riker Laboratories (1967-1975), where he was in charge of new drug registrations in the US. Merino received his PhD in Pharmacology from Purdue University.

Matthew W. Foehr -- Director, Chairman of Compensation Committee and Member of Audit Committee

Matthew W. Foehr serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at Ligand Pharmaceuticals. He has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having managed global operations and research and development programs. He was Vice President and Head of Consumer Dermatology R&D, as well as Acting Chief Scientific Officer of Dermatology, in the Stiefel division of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Following GSK’s $3.6 billion acquisition of Stiefel in 2009, Foehr led the R&D integration of Stiefel into GSK. At Stiefel Laboratories, Inc., Foehr served as Senior Vice President of Global R&D Operations, Senior Vice President of Product Development & Support, and Vice President of Global Supply Chain Technical Services. Gerald T. Proehl -- Director, Chairman of Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Member of Audit Committee

Gerald T. Proehl has served as a director since April 2014. From January 2002 to January 2014, he was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Santarus, Inc. (“Santarus”), a company that he helped to found in 1999. From March 2000 through December 2001, Proehl was President and Chief Operating Officer of Santarus, and from April 1999 to March 2000, Proehl was Vice President, Marketing and Business Development of Santarus. Proehl helped lead the sale of Santarus to Salix Pharmaceuticals for $2.6 billion in January of 2014. Proehl was with Hoechst Marion Roussel, Inc. (“Hoechst”), a global pharmaceutical company, for 14 years, where he served in various capacities, including Vice President of Global Marketing. During his career at Hoechst he worked across numerous therapeutic areas, including CNS, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal. Proehl serves on the Board of Directors of Tenax Therapeutics, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing a portfolio of products for critical care patients. Proehl is also on the Board of Directors of Auspex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pre-NDA biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel medicines for the treatment of orphan diseases. Paul V. Maier -- Director, Chairman of Audit Committee and Member of Compensation Committee

Paul V. Maier has over 25 years of experience as a senior executive in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. From November 2009 through June 2014, Maier served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sequenom Inc., a publicly held company serving the discovery, clinical research, and diagnostics market. From February 2007 until November 2009, he served as an independent financial consultant. Thomas Adamek is a co-founding member, president, and managing director of Stonehenge Capital Company LLC, where he is responsible for asset management and business development activities. He is also a member of its board of managers. Stonehenge is a national specialty finance company with expertise in structured tax credit finance in a variety of industries. Additionally, Stonehenge provides private debt and equity solutions to growing companies. Mr. Adamek received his bachelor’s in finance from LSU in 1982. He began his professional career with Louisiana National Bank, which was the predecessor of Bank One Corporation. He is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he teaches Small Business Management, Business Plan Development and is a Faculty Advisor in the AMR, GAP and SMR programs. In 1999, Dr. Nathanson founded and serves as CEO of Washington Square Capital Fund (WSCF), a formalized angel group that invests in early-stage companies. In 2000, Dr. Nathanson left the Stern School to become the CEO at Tickmark Solutions. In less than 18 months, under Dr Nathanson’s leadership, the revenues of this software company rose from $500,000 to almost $4 million. In 2002, he engineered the sale of company and investors realized a 40% return on investment in a very difficult market environment. Dr. Nathanson then

In 2008, Dr. Nathanson accepted a teaching position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and has resumed his mission of Helping Entrepreneurs Succeed as the CEO of the Entrepreneurs Resource Group. Michael D. Step was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Santarus, Inc., now a wholly owned subsidiary of Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Step served in this role for nine years up until the 2014 sale of Santarus to Salix. Robin Schmidt has over 23 years of experience in clinical operations strategy and execution of clinical trials in a diverse range of environments including large-scale pharmaceutical, biotechnology and contract research organizations (CRO). Before joining Ritter, Robin spent four years at Inventiv Health (now Syneos) as global project lead, overseeing a team of regional project managers for a large-scale Phase 3 global trial in immunology. From 2007-2013, Robin served as the clinical operations lead at several biotech companies, including Metabasis Therapeutics, Cerenis Therapeutics and Aastrom Biosciences, where she was responsible for development of company SOPs related to clinical conduct, and also led outsourcing strategy and project delivery for Phase I- III clinical programs across cardiovascular and endocrinology indications. His special interests include Japanese bridging and pan-Asian studies, First-Time-In-Humans studies (including biologics), microdose studies in a variety of special populations including healthy elderly, pediatrics, and patients with osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, asthma, and renal insufficiency. Dennis Savaiano has researched lactose intolerance for the past 20 years, where he has attempted to identify the dietary factors that can improve lactose tolerance. He served as the associate dean and assistant directorr of the Agricultural Experiment Station Human Ecology at the University of Minnesota. W. Allan Walker -- Medical Advisory Board Member

W. Allan Walker has a longstanding interest and commitment to nutrition research, particularly on the role of nutritional factors in maintaining the integrity of the intestinal mucosal barrier to host defense during the perinatal period. He was the first recipient of the Conrad Taff Professorship in Nutrition at Harvard Medical School in 1990. Walker served for six years on the Committee of Nutrition of the American Academy of Pediatrics (1977-1983) and received the Nutrition Research Award (Borden Award) of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1984 and the Hugh Butt Award for Excellence in Clinical Nutrition Research from the American Gastroenterologic Association in 1998. Chris Landon has pioneered device development in the area of pediatric pulmonary medicine. He established a CCS certified Level II Intensive Care Nursery and Perinatal Unit at Sequoia District Hospital and a comprehensive program of inpatient and outpatient medical homes for children in Ventura County. Additionally, he established a program of nutritional research in cystic fibrosis at Children’s Hospital at Stanford, including a microsample lab for fat-soluble vitamins and gas chromatography lab for essential fatty acids. He has published more than 408 articles including articles in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, JAMA, the Annals of Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology. His research includes clinical development and clinical pharmacology related to inflammatory bowel disease. From April 1993 to December 2010, Sandborn was head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and from January 2011 to present, the Division of Gastroenterology, University of California San Diego, La Jolla. Sandborn is extremely well regarded and well known within the investment community and is considered one of the key leading gastroenterologists in the United States for pharmaceutical research and clinical trial work.

Byron L. Cryer -- Medical Advisory Board Member

Byron L. Cryer, MD, obtained his BA degree from Harvard College, Cambridge, MA, in 1982, and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, in 1986, where he also completed his internal medicine residency training from 1986 to 1989. Cryer obtained his gastroenterology fellowship training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (1989-92), where he has remained as a member of the gastroenterology faculty. Cryer's clinical interests are in general gastroenterology. His specific areas of interest are acid- peptic diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Specific disease states of interest are Helicobacter pylori-induced ulcer disease and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-induced ulcers. Cryer’s primary research interest has been in the pathogenesis of peptic ulcer disease. His research focus has been clinically oriented in that he has exclusively studied the pathophysiology of these processes in humans. Investigations have explored the mechanism of gastrointestinal toxicity of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) within the stomach and duodenum. The aspect of NSAID investigation has been an evaluation of the cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 specific NSAIDs. Within the AGA, Cryer has held many leadership positions. He is the past chair of the AGA Underrepresented Minorities Committee and a AGA International Committee, AGA Institute Research Policy Committee, and AGA Institute Education and Training Committee. He has also led several AGA- sponsored public awareness campaigns to reduce the GI risks of NSAIDs and other commonly taken pain medications. William Chey is Nostrant Collegiate Professor of Gastroenterology & Nutrition Sciences, Director of the GI Physiology Laboratory, and Co- Director of the Michigan Bowel Control Program at Michigan Medicine. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Gastroenterology, the Board of Directors of the Rome Foundation and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Foundation of Functional GI Disorders.
