ReferenceGuidelinesforReflectionPaper.docx

For the reflection paper, I am looking for you to incorporate material from the course into the paper as well as your own experiences, thoughts, and reflections in relation to the material.

You will want to have a reference page at the end of your paper and citations throughout. Use at least two published sources (e.g., the book, articles from class, or other scholarly articles).

Additional sources such as websites, material from class lecture, or material from other courses can be used, but they will not replace the published sources.

Please follow APA referencing style. Below is information on this.

______________________________________________________________________________

Citations are in the text of the paper and they indicate where a piece of information came from. APA style citations look like this in the text of the paper:

· Research on biodata indicates that it is a good predictor of turnover (Brown & Campion, 1994).

· Voluntary turnover rates are higher among racial minorities (McKay, Avery, Tonidandel et al., 2007).

· Internship programs are used by organizations to enhance company public relations and to increase the ability to recruit skilled employees (Maertz, Stoeberl, & Marks, 2014).

To cite the class lectures you would cite them as personal communication:

· According to Professor L. Tucker (personal communication, November 8, 2019)

· The post-war depression of the early 1900s was a hardship for all citizens, rich and poor (Professor L. Tucker, personal communication, November 8, 2019)

To cite a website:

· According to Lobo (2017, February 23), technological advances are occurring….

· The rate of technology change is…….(Lobo, 2017, February 23)

All citations in the text of your paper should go in your reference list with one exception: Personal communications, such as lecture notes, do not go in your reference list. (This type of information is not “recoverable” so it is cited only in the main body of the paper, and is not included in the reference list.)

In APA style references listed in the Reference page are alphabetized by the author last name and look like this:
