Annotation:
The source that I used was an Academic Journal called Strategies for Enhancing Small-Business Owners'
Success Rates. The main thesis is the different things you need for a successful small business. This
article is teaching you different ways to have a successful business. This article also explains how 50% of
new business fail within the first five years. This article is trying to prepare you for your small business.
The article is giving different examples of marketing plans. The marketing plans states that you need to be
financial and time management to be a small business owner. Another example that the article provide
was getting your own customer network venue to help you begin your business. Another important detail
to starting your own small business would be Networking. All business needs these different things to
have a successful business. The articles stated that how some other business has open like Apple and
Microsoft. Those are two very successful business still this day.

Annotation:
The source that I used was an Academic Journal called “Financing Successful Small Business Project.” I
feel as if this article should support its thesis statement because its analysis data from 323 bank loans
granted by 28 banks. This information also looked combination of collateral and interest rates. The
article itself was written in 2014. However, the article itself references several articles that are 10 or more
years old. I feel is if the article is very credible because they research several sources all which were
relevant to the topic. The article only dealt with Spanish Banks. It didn’t reference anything towards
Western or American. This source does help with my research question because you may need to find a
bank to start your business with.

The eBook that I am using is called "Small Business Hacks". This article gives 100 shortcuts to having a
successful business. The eBook has several different chapters about how to have a successful
business. The first chapter in the eBook is trying to see why do you want to open the business,
what does the business stand for, and what will you be selling and why? The second chapter is

Once I open my own business, I will be coming back to this book to see if I can answer these
questions dealing with the business that I open. This eBook was very helpful.
