Read peer drafts and give feedback to two peers on the following ten questions by Wednesday, July 14th.  Each peer review is worth ten possible points if the questions are fully developed. Give developed responses to two peer drafts

1. What is the topic of the paper?  This can be answered in one or two words.

2. Try to describe the controversy about the topic.  This requires a few complete sentences.

3. What side of the controversy does the writer seem to be on?  This can answered very briefly.

4. Summarize the points or reasons the writer has to support his or her side of the controversy. There should be a few sentences for each of the writer's points. 

5. Does the writer present anything about the other side of the controversy (other than the one he or she is supporting)?  This is a "yes" or "no" response.  

6. If yes, summarize what the writer presents for the other side. This will require a few sentences for each point the writer presented for the other side.  If no, try to offer what might be something the other side would try to argue.  In other words, be helpful here if you have any insight or opinions about the topic. 

7. Try to describe the type of information the writer is using to present one or both sides of the issue.  By "type of information," I mean is it mainly the personal opinion or experience or the writer, or are they using outside sources to validate their opinions? Please be specific and critical here.  It will require several sentences.  

8. What is something you learned from this draft?  Be specific and identify something within the peer's draft to explain. 

9. What is something you still to know in order to fully understand the controversy? Be specific here.  This is potentially one of the most important questions for your peer's revision. 

10. What was the best aspect of the draft in your opinion?  Please be specific here.
