Hey, Sarah here! One of my courses this semester is an online seminar about research on motivation. My final

assignments is an argumentative paper on this particular educational theory called Self-Regulation. While I

was outlining my paper last week, I just could not remember the name of one of the big researchers my

professor mentioned in a live session a few weeks ago. The only thing I could remember was that he was the

editor of an important book on that theory. So I typed "Self-Regulation Book" into Google to try to find it.

Obviously that didn't work. Apparently there are a bunch of self-regulation theories in different fields. So

another thing I was trying to track down was an influential article that was being cited in pretty much every

other article. I looked on everything for this article. It was published in the 70's but I couldn't find any digital

copies. A library somewhere else in Ohio had a paper copy, but I couldn't get it from them on time. So for my

paper, I ended up using sources I could find on Google and I turned in my rough draft on Friday. So I just got

back feedback on my rough draft and of course it said my references were weak; and some of them did not

belong in an academic paper. Now I am trying to think of how I can go back and try to track down better

sources.
