Perspectives

According to Charels Hood in “LA Titudes,” shows the benefits we gain from trees like

feeding animals, clean the air, great atmosphere for patience, and protect kids because drivers

must drive slow on streets that has a lot of trees. However, because of the pollution, the author

mentions that trees have foul-smelling. Also, trees kill other plants by producing a deadly

chemical. I think these trees kills other plants because of lack of water, or dirty water that causes

certain trees to produce deadly chemical for other plants to survive. Personally, I blame the

government because some trees are been taken out in certain areas which causes unbalance

between human pollutant and the amount of trees. The government should support the nature by

producing laws that allow agriculture to develop and be part of the modern life, so people benefit

from the trees and companies can produce the good amount of production without hurting the

environment because there is balance between production and amount of trees.

Jen Hofer who talks about undocumented immigrants, or illegal immigrants shows very

interesting facts. First is that the state has the largest number of undocumented immigrants, but

these immigrants contributes to the economy $302 billion which is a boost for the economy.

Also, they pay taxes like citizens, but they do not get the government benefits. I think that

immigrants help California to raise and develop by having cheap labor. Many people concerns

about losing their jobs because of immigrants, but my opinion is the opposite. I think that these

cheap labors give many corporations the opportunity to develop themselves with cheap prices

like building their territory in cheap price which would offer jobs for others. New corporations

usually is low financially, but they grow with the cheap labor. I do not agree with the author

illegal immigrants causes gang activity and gun violence because of gun law structure. I think

that these immigrants are poor people who wants to get paid well and live comfortably safe life

which is why left from their countries. I think that the fear and anxiety of getting deported is the

reason why some of them become violent and vey protected from police. My point of view is

that illegal immigrants provide more pros than cons in California.
