project
Read all to understand my project
My project will be about employee right and how my current company doesn’t tread the workers well. The company I work for is called Aramark and it is a food service company. The location I work at is at Fenway park in Boston MA. What I am basing my project on is joining the union so that I could help with negotiating for a better contract. Right now due to covid-19 we had to put the actual contract on hold but this is a hypothetical or if we were to negotiate for thee contract.
Here are list of the things that we want to put in the new contract.
1.tips on credit- the company is saying that if they allow us to get tips on credit then they will pay us hourly which doesn’t work because at Fenway we are only working 90 games in the season and only 6 to 7 hours. They usually pay us by game around 120 dollar.
2. enough staffs- another problem in the company is that they are always short on staffs. This is a problem for out type of work where we need to serve thousands of people a night. The company is all ways changing the temps they give us because they don’t want them to feel comfortable. For example, lets say they give me a worker that I enjoyed working with and had taught how to do everything today. Even though she is back tomorrow they will relocate her somewhere else.
3. my particular stand has 2 cashiers and 2 stand workers so total of 4. This is different depending on where you are working there are stands with bigger number of workers. They usually change my second cashier they never give me the same person. Yet they expect me to make sure no money is missing. I am usually handling 1 cash register and also counting the product both when I come in to work and when I am leaving. So I have a lot of things on my plates and cant keep an eye on the other people around me.
The company will blame me if anything is missing which is why we need to negotiate for better contract that doesn’t let those 3 thing I mentioned happen.
Step 1
Create a title page, making sure the title briefly describes the nature of the assignment. Type your name on the title page along with the semester you plan to file the formal practicum report, and mention the college program for which you are writing the report.
Step 2
Write a brief description of what the practicum report is about. This paragraph should be about 150 words or less and basically serves as your summary, or abstract. Then, create a page for your introduction. On this page, describe the nature of the practicum and the supervising agency that provided you the opportunity to complete the practicum. For example, if you did a practicum in library science, explain that you worked as a children’s librarian and name the organization you worked for, according to the University of British Columbia. State the assignment’s goals and the greater significance of the practicum, and explain what your assigned duties were.
Step 3
Write a fairly detailed section on the specific activities you actually did during your practical experience. Explain the time frame required to complete these projects. For repetitive tasks, include the overall time frame of the practicum and an estimated amount of time devoted to each major duty. Also, describe anything you observed while doing your practicum and what techniques or important concepts you learned from these observations.
Step 4
Explain the practical and theoretical value of the practicum experience. Compare what you did during your practicum to coursework you did prior to the work experience. Describe what outcomes you expected and what results you actually achieved during this experience. Also, explain recommendations for future practicum improvements. In addition, describe how your practicum experience influenced your professional or academic goals. End the practicum report by providing summary statements that recap the content of your report.
Step 5
Include other attachments that are relevant to your practicum, such as any work you actually completed -- grants you wrote or reports/evaluations you produced. Also, include a bibliography of references citing any information you used for your report. Read through the report for errors in spelling, grammar or punctuation.
