Why This Scripps Health Care

Scripps Health Care is a committed health care organization that is located in San DiegoCalifornia and is committed to providing the best possible patient care to the public, and research is an essential part of its mission. This is the best health care organization for study because of its involvement in research hence meaning it’s faced with a lot of IT risks. The organization has an objective of ensuring that people receive the best treatment. In addition to its aim of ensuring that the public gets the best treatment, the knowledge that is usually gained from. The research ensures that people receive the best quality of health care services as possible.

Physicians at the Scripps health care organization have the responsibility of studying the new medications that are in the health sector as well as new devices that have been introduced in the sector. They as well have the responsibility of tracking the outcomes for some years, which in most cases might be decades. The physicians eventually gather information as well as indication for urban education and plans of treatment. The information that has been gathered is then shared with the Scripps management for strategic planning (Pham, 2015). What then follows is the medical education to scientific communal bypeer-reviewed publications. Such an improved use of technology makes the organization to have quite a number if IT risks.

Why Health Care

The introduction of the health information technology (IT) with some complex adaptive health systems has made the sector to have the potential for improvement. However, the care also introduces some challenges in the sector as well as consequences. It is, therefore, essential to ensure that the potential risks that the sector might face are adequately prevented. Ensuring there is safety for the health IT and its use in the clinicalsetting have recently become the fundamental challenge that should be focused on. The community of scientists is attemptingto ensure there isa better understanding of the complexinteractions between the people, processes, the environment as well as the technologies. This healthy interaction will ensure there is an endeavor for safety development, implementation, and maintenance of the new digital infrastructure. There are some new pieces of evidence in the in-patientsettings showing that health information technology can make safer. The information technology can as well create new issues that are related to safety, some manifesting themselves longafter the technology has been implemented.

Taking a close look at this issue, it tells one that effective designing and safety, implementation, development and the usage of the information technology in the healthsectorrequires a responsibility that is shared and a sociotechnical approach. The IT in health care must be developed and designed in such a way that it corresponds with the goals of the organizationas well as its workflow. Theorganization must ensure that it configures with the health information technology perfectly if they adopt commerciallyavailable products, and then the organizations adopt the health Information technology that is safe (Madon, 2018). This technology must be used by all health care organizations if they care about their patients. If the system is seen not to correspond with the goals and objectives of the organization, it is essential to adjust the software as well as the workflows to correspond with the goal of the health care organization. The health care organizations must ensure that they work closely with their electronic health record (EHR) vendors so that they can monitor and optimize the technology in the most appropriate way to ensure that the technology is able to help them in identifying, measuring and improving the quality and the safety of the care that the organization is providing. Safe use of technology, safety technology, and the use of technology in improving safety are all the critically importantfactorsfor developing health care.

Healthinformation is one ofthe critical factors that should be considered in any health care sets up. The information technology will always have an impact on the cybersecurity branches on patients and health care organizations. Due to the acceleration in the development of health technologies over the last decade, both the patients and the providers who have entered thus era in which most of the information is usually processed, stored, and transmitted digitally (Sadoughi, 2016). We should now understand that we have entered a digital era where we will have to seek services digitally, and the providersof the services will as well have to deliver their care online. This development has even moved beyond the clinics and the health care centers and moved health technology into the patient's hands and homes. The way people today access health information, as well as communication, has moved to the comfort of their living rooms through turning digital. People can no use the patients' portal to book an appointment with a particular health care organization as well as communicating with the providers and even share their health conditions with their guardians and lovers.

The individuals, as well as the patients who continuously use the health technologies, might not beaware of how their information is usually collected, how it is used, and how it is disclosed to the third party. The privacy policies that are associated with this technologyare not the same all through and may not be clear to the individuals(Kim, 2016). The individuals may inaccurately state how the information is handled and used. Even though there may exist some policies on how the information should be handled, that information might end up being buried, and the technology companies might lack enough controls or may fail to effectively implement them regardingoffer protection of information of the patients. In this day and age, data hacking and leakage have turned to be everyday people. Total security doesnot exist on the information technologies anymore. The health care technologies might be the ones suffering most from the vulnerability that could be exploited maliciously. Thismight happen in most cases whenthe manufacturer does not have the capability tin respond or have the capability to address the security laws in this sector proactively.

The health care technologies have a promising future in improvingthe future of the healthsector and the overall well-being of all the individuals. The benefits that the system has come with some new risks and for the security of the data that they hold and transmit. Everyone must understand that they play a significant role in ensuring that the confidentiality of digital health footage is protected(Bloss, 2016). This is mostly to ensure that the technology is used for thebenefits of the users but not to harm them. The same way people protect theirfinancial information, then, in the same way, they must ensure that they protect their health information as well as the safety of the technologies that we all use. Having different health care technologies means that we have varying degrees of control over the kind of information that is stirred in the systems, as well as how best we can offer protection to the information.
