Racism
Racism is the act of showing hatred, inequality, and superiority by people based on skin color and community. Firstly, racism leads to many psychological issues. Many communities present in the society are verbally abusing each other based on their color or region that results in the occurrence of mental problems. According to William et al. (2000), experiences in racism develop anxiety disorders and depression in people. Further, many people lose their self-confidence and ability to do work, which leads to unfortunate changes in mental health. Secondly, Racism develops into a common reason for physical violence. Many people in the society are involved in physical abuse between each other because of racism. According to Oliver (2001), racism is responsible for increase in communal and police violence in situations involving African Americans in the America. In addition to this, white people show their cruelty in the form of physical abuse towards black community to prove their superiority in countries like America. Sometimes, racial violence can cause serious consequences like death. For example, the police in America killed black person because of the color of his color. Finally, racism increases inequalities in employment and leads to hatred among different communities. According to a book published by Dominelli (1989), many white people avoid working with black people in many sectors including IT and restaurants in the United States of America. Moreover, some companies abstain to provide available employment opportunities to people belonging to different races. To sum up, racism is one of the dangerous condition present in society, which leads to serious consequences like physical violence, psychological issues and social inequality.
