Would quiet eruptions or explosive eruptions be more likely to increase the steepness of volcanic cone? explain

A volcanic eruption can be described as a process that occurs when a molten rock, also known as magma, rises to the surface or is released from a volcano. It should be understood that magma is usually formed from the earth's mantle upon melting (CK12-Foundation, 2018). When the magma is too thick, gas bubbles formed during the process cannot escape, and in such a case, pressure accumulates and builds up to saturation point, forcing the magma to rise. When the pressure formed gets too high to be sustained, an eruption occurs, resulting in a volcanic eruption.

Such eruptions can be termed as either quiet or explosive eruptions. With reference to the question as to which type of eruption will increase the volcanic cone's steepness, through research and study I have conducted, quiet or effusive eruptions will cause a significant increase in the steepness of the volcano cone (Bagley, 2018). This is because quiet eruption is not strong enough to blow off the chunks of magma to far distance off the volcano; they only spew the magma around the tips or tops of the volcanoes, making them harden and form cones that appear steeper, unlike explosive eruptions that blows the magma far away from the volcano.
