The Worksheet and Letter are to be submitted as one document.

NOTE: This part of the assignment CANNOT be completed until you receive a letter from the instructor!

Worksheet

Number the items on your worksheet (1-6) and be descriptive in your approach to the assignment.

1.  Read the letter. What is the dominant interpersonal issue addressed in the letter? (For example, if someone is worried their significant other is cheating on them,  than trust may be the significant issue). (5 pt)

2.  What do the Weekly Learning Resources and the Weekly Discussions say about this issue? Specify and use in-text citations in APA format to support your assertions. (10 pts)

3.  What sub-issues are also addressed?(for example, could the relationship be growing apart? Are they avoiding conflict? Are they pseudo-listening to each other?) (5 pts)

4.  What do the Weekly Learning Resources and Weekly Discussions say about these sub-issues issues? Specify and use in-text citations in APA format to support your assertions. (10 pts)

5.  Based on what we have covered this semester, list the points you need to make in your response to the letter. I would expect several (more than five). (5 pts)

6.  Now, research your three other current, CREDIBLE, scholarly sources (scholarly journals, for example, or articles from credible magazines or newspapers). In 700-1,000 words, describe what information you found about the issue and sub issues. Use in-text citations in APA format. You may want to bold an issue, then discuss what you found beneath it, then bold a sub- issue and describe what you found. (If you are not familiar with APA formatting, check out APA Help from UMGC ) (35 pts)

Letter

7.  Create a page break in this document. Then copy and paste the letter you received and put it on the next page of the document.

8.  Finally, create another page break and then respond to the letter. Begin with “Dear (and insert the letter you received’s signature).  (You may want to read other “advice columns” for examples of responses) In your response you must use information from the Weekly Learning Resources/Discussions, as well as three other credible sources (other scholarly books, journal articles, magazines, newspapers, etc.). (15 points)

9.  Include a separate page with your sources in APA format at the end (the reference page).  Every source found on the reference page should be cited in the body of the paper.  There will be a four point deduction for each source that is cited on the reference page, but not included in the body of the paper.  (5 pts. APA formatting including references and in-text citations)

This paper requires a size 12 Times New Roman font.

10.  Your response letter and worksheet is due Tuesday of Week 7. The worksheet and the letter should all be as one document.

Late submissions are only accepted up until one week after the due date and 20% deduction applies.

Points will be lost if your paper contains errors, typos, sentence fragments, capitalization problems, sentence style issues, etc. (up to -15 points)
