discuss design in the built environment and specifically architectural design. What have we meant by
this verbal graphic? How have we used the word "narrative" to talk about designed things? Do we
need to know underlying narratives to talk about form? Do we need to know underlying narratives to
talk about experience? Do we need to know underlying narratives to talk about meaning? Why
or why not?

architectural structure? What are the two main structural narratives we have discussed? What do
