Example 1
Hello, my name is Golda Starr. I have over 10 years of experience in the area of health
informatics, and a passion for helping organizations use technology to improve healthcare
delivery. For the past three years, I have been supporting and managing large phase four global
studies in neurology and oncology online, primarily in remote countries that are not able to
receive medication. I have researched many of these countries central ethics committees’ rules
and regulations so that other pharmaceutical companies are also able to conduct clinical trials
using ethical protocol. As a health professional, I feel a duty to help people who do not know
where to go for medical treatment and to develop tools that empower communities to improve
health delivery and research. My training in health informatics, combined with my B.S. in Health
Studies and international experience, have allowed me to develop technology and protocols that
have improved the lives of over 3000 individuals living around the world. I would appreciate the
opportunity to discuss future opportunities with your organization.
Example 2
Hello, my name is John Doe, and I’m completing my bachelor’s degree in healthcare
management at Walden University. I currently work as a patient advocate at Seattle Grace
Hospital, helping to navigate individuals through the maze of our U.S. healthcare system.
Improving health service delivery is my passion, and I’m hoping to find a position that will allow
me to maximize the skills and knowledge obtained in my bachelor’s degree combined with my 15
years of field experience to improve patient support and care. I am results oriented and have
managed several large projects associated with improving patient services, including developing
a “navigation guide” for those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. I have also served on
Seattle Grace’s Quality Service Delivery Task Force for the past three years and assisted with
developing and analyzing a large-scale patient care survey that was disseminated to over 12,000
patrons of Seattle Grace in the Fall of 2011. If you’re looking for someone to direct and develop
patient navigation support services for your organization, I’d love to talk more about this with
you.
