Research Paper

Successful research requires a focused search process, informed

source evaluation, thorough synthesis of materials, accurate

documentation, and meticulous organization.

• There will be various deadlines during the semester that will be

discussed.

• Students will write a 7-page MLA documented research paper

based on one of the forms of literary criticism found in Revel

Chap. 52 plus a works cited.

• Students must pick a piece of fiction from an author still alive, not

discussed in class.

• This literary essay will be based on the literary strategy/criticism

you have chosen for your thesis statements

• This paper will be peer-reviewed before final submission.

You must participate fully in this writing process by submitting

items according to the schedule. Failure to meet a deadline will

cause you to fail the research paper. Failure of the research paper

will fail the class.
