A QSEN for clinical about safety at hospital
Teamwork and collaboration when performing nursing duties
Teamwork is where the working performed in a group of two or more people, where each deals with apert of the assigned tasks, but they all coordinate to achieve the work to achieve the general objective of the program (Mosten, F& Traum, 2018). Collaboration is the act of doing work with someone or a group to achieve the desired goal. Therefore, it is where the efforts of different personnel are coordinated to achieve the desired goals.
The strength of functioning as a team member includes being flexible where I adjust to changes and emergencies as they arise because nursing deals with urgent matters that require flexibility at the workplace. The second strength is collaborating well with others through consultation and accommodating new vital ideas from other team members. Rigidity in decision-making is not successful in nursing; therefore, cooperating well with team members provides a better opportunity. Personal accountability is another contribution to the team because I am self-monitored by ensuring that all actors are conducted in an honest and accountable manager. Lastly, the ability to understand the area of specialization and my roles help provide the required professional needs to the team by solving the existing problems.
Limitations include the inability to observe time, especially when the meeting is to be done virtually because most engagements I have interfered with creating time for appointments. The second limitation is intolerance for arguments that have no basis because, in a team, some like jokes but cannot accommodate more marks for my sake. I was happy for my day because I learned a lot of things such as connected one disease to other. I know I will become a better nurse because we have to understand each other and we also have to work as a team, so we can collaborate in order to provide the best care,
The values that I will translate to the team are moral virtues such as integrity, honesty, and respect. All my activities are guided by reference, respecting all team members involved in accomplishing the tasks. With integrity, I will work with fairness without any dishonest dealing for the team to achieve its objectives.
