Overview

Your Written Response Assessment consists of 9 items focusing on the core considerations in developmentally appropriate practice; the principles of child development and learning that inform practice; the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice; and effective family engagement principles.

Submission Length: 9 prompts with responses ranging from 1-3 paragraphs in length

Professional Skill:   Written Communication and  Information Literacy are assessed in this Competency.

For this Written Response Assessment, you will respond to a series of prompts about developmentally appropriate practice.

This Assessment requires submission of one document: a completed Written Response Submission Form. Save this file as  QP3001_ firstinitial_lastname (for example, QP3001_J_Smith).

You may submit a draft of your assignment to the  Turnitin Draft Check area to check for authenticity. When you are ready to upload your completed Assessment, use the  Assessment tab on the top navigation menu.

Instructions

Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
