Descriptive Measures of Consumer Food Data
Data Type
The data denoted in the first three columns are quantitative data in nature. Numerical values grounded on which customers can be analyzed and assessed quantitatively has been assigned for each of these variables. The data represented in the fourth and fifth column namely- region and location are qualitative data. The location and state of the customers can be known from this informational data. No quantitative analysis can be made with this data.
Level of Measurement
The data represented in the first three columns are ratio level data. Besides on these data categorization and ordering of the customers can be made. Beside these, each of these data has equal interval and zero values of these are meaningful. The data represented in the last two columns namely customer region, and customer location are nominal level data. With these data, customers can be categorized but cannot be ordered. Nominal level data contains data based on which only categorization can be made only.
