I've just heard back from Lou regarding some specific questions you had for Wool+Aid. Hopefully this helps in your analysis and strategising!

Are all Wool+Aid product materials (other than wool, e.g., the adhesive, packaging, or other materials) environmentally friendly?

Yes, all are either biodegradable or recyclable apart from the adhesive, which is a medical grade adhesive.

Is the white part that covers the sticky parts of the plaster made of plastic?

No, the 'plaster tabs' are a special type of paper.

Is the glue used for the sticky part of the plaster different to that used in other plasters?

Unsure of what other plasters use but likely to be similar as its a medical grade adhesive.  I am aware that ‘Patch’ the bamboo plaster uses an different type of adhesive that is supposedly more environmentally friendly, however, it also means it doesn’t stick if you get it wet.  Our adhesive application is different to all others allowing for greater breathability.

With all the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process (NZ-Italy-China-NZ), does Wool+Aid consider or factor that in their sustainability efforts?

We purchase carbon credits to offset our emissions and are looking at various other manufacturing partners that can help us have closer geographic connections.
