You work for Bea Green, a billionaire who willing to spend her money trying to reduce climate change by cutting the use of fossil fuels. Her top ideas is to promote a revenue-neutral carbon tax. She is also considering creating a “think tank” focused on climate change , but she is not really sure what a think tank is or does.
Knowing of your expertise, she seeks your advice on the following questions:
2) What are think tanks and how have they changed over the years ? Could this be a useful part of her strategy?
3) What is your basic advice to Green regarding how to promote the legitimation or adoption of her policy idea ? Explain to her the importance of majorities, and how to generally build alliances. (need majority in the key committee)
4) Consider whether Winter 2019 is a good time to really push hard on this idea.
