Mental Health Counseling
I have (1) paper I need re-written, I have included the PROFESSORS example, please follow example accordingly. Group Topic : Spirituality
During the opening , ice breaker, name a little bit about yourself to let me know who you are since tis is my first group. The last response was a emotional melt down by one of the clients this detoured the meeting a few minutes her story was she relapse yet nobody knows she is an addict, loosing high school sweetheart husband, children, home etc., facing divorce and she is codependent, cross addiction. Focused on Spiritual Assessment sheet from Director.
SUMMARIZED group session.
Clients were given Psycho-education on Spirituality, sharing information of beliefs and to consider believing in a power greater than yourself, Clients became aware of common threads in their spiritual beliefs, clients responded to 3 questions from spiritual assessment sheet, and elaborated on faith, believe, and hope. Clients were taught faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen, and we are saved by our hope, but hope that is seen is not hope, but if we hope for that we see not then do we with patience wait for it. Clients were encouraged to continue praying without ceasing. Prayer that is not answered in our timing is not denied sometimes it is just delayed. We
don’t give in and we don’t give up we stop trying and start training
ourselves. In addition, group was detoured to Codependency, where clients were taught how Cross Addictions allows you to replace one thing with another, allowing distractions to get you outside of yourself to be validated by someone else, basically you are hurting you to help someone else. Clients close with what we think determines what we believe, what we believe determines how we feel, and the way we feel influences how we are going to act. Clients repeated you can’t live a positive life with a negative mind. Just BELIEVE in a power greater than yourself. Clients were participatory in summarizing the group as a
powerful wrap up activity.
Students will write four full 3-4 content page papers (in APA Style, 6th edition) by responding to the topic prompts below, and submit to the Assignment Dropbox by the assigned date in the Course Schedule. Papers will apply the topic to your work at your site, not theoretical or conceptual. Be sure to clearly respond to all parts of the prompts in a meaningful, insightful, applied, purposeful manner. The purpose of this assignment is to begin to synthesize clinical and conceptual knowledge across the curriculum, and to apply it to actual client interactions

Class Presentation: ‘Clinical Toolbox’
Students will provide a 15-20 minute presentation either
A) audio, narrated embedded Powerpoint presentation posted to the class Discussion Board or
B) live Powerpoint GoToMeeting presentation during
class time. The first part of the presentation will be an introduction of the site, include a website address of your site, if available.
The next part of the presentation you will describe three skills, techniques, or activities used at your Practicum site with the specific client population. (IOP)
Students are expected to illustrate important points/aspects of the techniques, research evidence, explain the theoretical underpinnings, and describe when the techniques would be indicated and contraindicated.
Then, you will demonstrate one of the three skills, techniques or activities in class (either with a peer for an individual technique, or with the entire group for a group technique).
The purpose of this assignment is to share and expand students’ technical repertoire of skills, techniques or activities.
Due dates will be assigned in class. Students will be expected to have practiced with the technology and be able to give a presentation via GoToMeeting prior to the presentation.
