Public Relations Campaign - Guided Project Directions: - Students will apply the course concepts to write a research paper for a Public Relations Campaign appropriate for their organizational setting (business, non-profit, postsecondary education, etc.). - During the course, students will submit weekly guided project components of the research paper which will provide opportunities to apply the course concepts to develop the paper by linking with appropriately cited textbook and course readings as well as outside sources to support the research.

Components of the paper will include: Title page Introduction Review of the Literature Discussion Summary References

- The paper will be 10 pages in length (not counting the title page or reference page). Double spaced, 12 point font, APA style. Students should include at least three scholarly peer reviewed journal articles. - All papers will be automatically run through Turnitin and students will be able to review the results. Papers must have a Turnitin Similarity Index below 30% in order to earn a grade. The complete Guided Project Final Paper will be due week 7. See Guided Project Rubric.

Weekly components: Week 1 Topic and title page: This week students will research topics for a public relation campaign that addresses and select and submit a topic for the Research Paper and explain why they are choosing this topic. Read the complete directions for the Guided Project below.

Week 3 Review of Literature: This week students will start research for the Review of the Literature section of their paper. Note that there should be at least 3 scholarly peer reviewed journal articles included in your paper. Read the complete directions for the Guided Project below.

Week 4 Review of Literature (con’t): This week students will complete and submit the Review of the Literature section of their paper. Note that there should be at least 3 scholarly peer reviewed journal articles included in your paper. Read the complete directions for the Guided Project below.

Week 5 Discussion: This week students will complete and submit the Discussion section of their paper. In this section, students will discuss their topic in relation to their personal and/or work experience, profession, and/or organizational setting. Read the complete directions for the Guided Project below. Week 6 Summary: This week students will complete and submit a summary of their topic, and research. Read the complete directions for the Guided Project below.

Week 7 Completed Public Relations Campaign: This week students will complete and submit their final research paper. Please be sure to include all of the components of the paper and to meet the minimum number of ten pages and a minimum of three scholarly, peer reviewed, journal articles.
