Research Study Part I

Research Question

I. Does jogging lead to a positive mental attitude?

Hypothesis

II. Jogging helps improve a person’s state of mind (mental attitude).

Variables

III. Independent Variable - Jogging vs. Not Jogging

Dependent Variable - Mental attitude

Type of Research

IV. I will be conducting an observational study. I will have two to four groups of 4 people. Before anyone jogs I will collect information as to what everyone is feeling or thinking. Once information has been collected, I'll have the first two groups will jog. The second two groups will be the ones not jogging. To prove my hypothesis even more, I also want to have the non-joggers, jog, and collect information again from all groups.
