Psychology Class Presentation Requirements
At the end of the term, you will be required to a class presentation on any subject that is related to the
study of psychology, with emphasis on the particular class that you are enrolled in (Ex. General
Psychology, Human Growth and Development). Think of the presentation basically you teaching a short
lesson on whatever topic that you choose. Topics must be pre-approved by the instructor. You may look
in your textbook for different topic ideas, but the information that you present in MUST come from at
least TWO other sources other than your textbook.
You may incorporate PowerPoint presentations, short video clips (less than 2 minutes), poster boards,
and other tools that you feel would be helpful for your presentation. Your presentations MUST be at
least 10 minutes and no longer than 15 minutes.
You may work alone or in groups of two. The presentations will be held during the last two days of class
and sign-up for the specific presentation day along with specific group members will be conducted at
least two week before the day of presentations.
Your presentations will be graded on the following:
Relativity to the area of psychology
Creativity
Quality of information
Organization
Quality of delivery
Time
Presentation attendance If work is done as group, all group members will receive the same grade. All group members must be
present during presentation in order to receive credit. Failure to be present for both days presentation
without prior notice will result in a 10 point deduction in your individual presentation grade.
