Instruction: Using what you’ve learned this semester, think about how you can use these psychological tools/information to become more self-aware in your path to success.
Learning is a lifelong process that is essential to goal achievement. The semester classes on introduction to psychology, learning, memory, and personality provided proper insight toward goal achievement. This semester revamped my goal to help improve the economy of my home country, Gabon, Africa. Achieving my purpose in helping improve Gabon Africa's economy will entail going into a business career that will utilize the aspects taught in class to achieve the set goals efficiently.
First, the training of the scientific attitude to students prepared them to think smarter. As such, they can think critically and implement proper solutions to issues they face. Additionally, equipping the students with the ability to develop appropriate traits and emotions helps them thrive in the rather complex world. Therefore, in the business career, I will implement the qualities to create better solutions to spur economic progress in the country.
Secondly, learning is a significant process in career building that lives throughout the career. As such, various forms of learning are implemented throughout the process. For instance, the Spontaneous recovery form of learning where an extinguished condition reappears after some time due to some factor influencing it. In this case, an individual learns something, and then, in the process of their working, an item previously learned reappears. Another form of learning is a generalized form where an individual comes up with a solution based on a similar problem. For instance, if an issue arises concerning a bank. The financial experts will refer to the issue solved in the future based on how they solved the previous problem.
Memory is another essential aspect learned. Effectively implementing the learned knowledge, encoding, and saving, and retrieving it is vital, especially when needed. Saving such known information and skills on the long term memory makes it easy to implement when needed. Equally, to ensure that the skills and knowledge learned are effectively implemented, retrieval skills such as relearning and recognition ensure that such information becomes permanent and easily retrieved and executed.
