Course: PSYC 160 Introduction to Psychology
Objectives:
1. Students will identify information sources of various types (encyclopedias, books, periodicals, multimedia, etc.).
2. Students will seek background information on their topic using subject specific sources from the Credo Reference database.
3. Students will recognize the difference between subject vocabulary (subject headings in a thesaurus) and keywords when performing a search in our databases.

Choose a topic related to psychology. Please search Credo Reference to answer the following questions:
1. Choose two (2) reference sources. What type of reference sources did you use (encyclopedia, dictionary, handbook, manual, etc.)? List the article title and the name of the source from which you obtained it.
2. Does your selected source provide sufficient, detailed information to answer your research topic or is the information insufficient/too brief (Go beyond a “Yes”/”No” response and write the amount of pages or paragraphs you see)?
