Project Outline: Assignment Instructions
Please submit a 1-page annotated outline (indicating details about each aspect of your project) to the Isidore site by the due date, Feb. 22, at 11 p.m. See example at our Isidore website from a previous year. The outline should contain citations and associated references for information that you are addressing about your topic.
IMPORTANT : Before uploading to the Isidore assignment tab, please title your outline file as follows: Lastname_Firstinitial_Outline.docx For example, if I were submitting my outline, my file would be titled like this: Davis_S_Outline.docx
Because correctly formatted titles are very important for facilitating my grading process and getting feedback to you as soon as possible,10% of the points available for the outline will be deducted for an incorrectly formatted document title. I think the example outline attached speaks better to what I am looking for than can be as easily put into words. As you can see, I do NOT want an outline that merely says, "Introduction", "Part I", "Part 2", etc. However, you must remember to include the information about zeitgeist effects on your topic being reported!
You also need to include a Title page and, again, your brief References list with the sources you have identified. (See instructions for preparing an APA-style Title and Reference list. If you have not reviewed your previously-submitted Reference list that I have returned to you, be sure to select "Show Comments" from the Review tab at the top of the MS .docx so that you can see where any errors were in your list of References. Although I do not expect this outline to be 100% complete with all the detail that will be in the final written project, I do expect enough detail (again, view the example) so that I can see you are making substantive progress.
You will also see in the attachment to the assignment tab on the Isidore site, the modified guidelines for APA-style writing, citations, and information about plagiarism. If you have any questions, please let me know!
