Annotated Bibliography URGENT DUE 9/6/20 NO LATER THAN 6PM
PSY 442 Annotated Bibliography Rubric Overview: Annotated bibliographies provide you with the opportunity to cite, summarize, and compare and contrast resources you will use in a paper. You will cite each resource in APA style, write an approximately 150-word description that summarizes the central theme and scope of the resource, and compare and contrast it with other resources. For more information on annotated bibliographies, consult the SNHU Writing Center’s annotated bibliography guide. Depending on the assignment, the annotated bibliography may serve a number of purposes, including but not limited to reviewing the literature on a particular subject; illustrating the quality of research you have done; providing examples of the types of resources available; describing other items on a topic that may be of interest to the reader; and/or exploring the subject for further research. Your purpose here is to prepare to complete a final research paper on developmental psychology by locating a minimum of three to five current research articles (from the past three years) that you might potentially include in your final paper; these articles should relate to Ecological Theory, Psychological Sense of Community Theory, and Empowerment Theory. The articles should provide sufficient information for you to compare and contrast the theories. (Source: http://lib.skidmore.edu/library/index.php/writing-an-annotated-bibliography) Note: The work you do in each of the modules should directly relate to the course project. You should use the resources that you collect in your annotated bibliography to inform your project. Selected resources must be scholarly articles that reflect the topics outlined in the assignment. Course resources and Wikipedia may not be used. The articles do not need to be empirical studies but must be from primary sources. Resources: Use the Psychology Research Guide to locate scholarly articles. Use this link for information on how to format an annotated bibliography in APA format. Instructions: Each article should be added as a separate submission. For each article, include the following:
A brief summary of the resource (approximately 150 words)
An evaluation of the resource, including the author’s background, document source, and intended audience
An analysis of the article, including its relevance to the topic
Proper citation in APA format
Correct spelling, grammar, and professional vocabulary Approach these activities as (a) an opportunity to reflect upon and apply what you learn each week based on the assigned readings, discussions, and activities,
and (b) an opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise based on your educational and professional experiences in the past. As a successful professional,
you will need good reflective and writing skills.
