PSY 323 Gender Communication Differences Short Paper Rubric

Each assigned short paper provides opportunities to apply theory to practice in preparation for the final. All papers must provide a clear and succinct analysis of the topic in approximately three (3) pages, not including a title, resource page, or attachments. Submissions should be double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins, and adhere to APA citation style.

For the Module Four paper, choose a culture other than your own and research how males and females in that culture communicate (consider social power, nonverbal and verbal communication, social display rules, public and private settings, and institutional influences such as religion) in a particular relationship. Then, in a paper, compare and contrast what informs how you communicate in your relationships to how those in a similar relationship communicate in the culture that you chose. You may choose a friend, romantic, or professional (school/work) relationship for this comparative paper. Support your ideas with the course material and at least two additional academic references.
