The parts of an APA Paper for non-experimental research paper:

1. Cover page

a. Include the title of the paper, student name, professor name, course centered on

the page

2. Abstract

a. What the paper contains – use an introductory statement: This paper will discuss…

b. It should be short, concise, objective and summarize the paper without evaluation or opinion

c. No more than 150 words 3. Introduction

a. The introduction states the topic and the main questions to be explored

4. Discussion

a. The discussion supplies the background information discussing relevant past

research on the topic.

b. Extensive referencing through paraphrasing establishes support for the discussion.

5. Conclusion

a. The conclusion summarizes the research discussed and explains why it is relevant

6. References

a. Listed alphabetically by author

b. If the reference is not referenced within the body of the paper (as an in-text

citation) then it should not appear in the references page
