Topic will be given by the professor by WEEK 7.

For your care plan:

You must use the given scenario and create a care plan for the given dementia.

1. Briefly describe the general nature of the disorder and how it is likely to develop

1. Discuss possible types of treatment and management of the disorder

1. Explain how you would support an individual with this disorder (what type of specific care would you need to provide)

1. Create a care plan for the given dementia utilizing the care plan template.

Scenario topics will be from the following dementias:

· Dementia related to AIDS

· Pick’s disease

· Lewy body disease

· Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease

· Dementia resulting from Huntington’s chorea

· Dementia resulting from Multiple Sclerosis

· Dementia from Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

· Multi-infarct Dementia
