Organizational issue

Walmart tops the list of the world largest retailers whose reputation has grown

immensely following its unique characteristics among them large stores, low prices and great

tactics of bargaining with manufactures. Walmart sales are estimated to be three percent of the [0]

entire United States economy. Despite this success, Walmart has had a few organizational issues [0]

which have resulted to dwindling of its reputation and efficiency. Human resource management [0]

stands out as the major issue in the general management of the firm. In terms of organizational [0]

size, Walmart tops the list with the largest labor force when compared to other like firms. (2). To [0]

start with, the company management has had a rough road with administration of its employees

due to concerns associated with discrimination and low remuneration. [0]

Over the last one decade Walmart has been keen on expansion strategies which have led ,

to growth of low concerns in the well-being of its workforce. The management has lessened their [0]

attention and appreciation to their employees who contributes dearly to the attainment of the

company's objectives. For instance, the company has discriminated women against filling the [0]

topmost positions in the management structure topmost administration team is . The company's [0]

made up of 72 % men while women take the remaining 28%. Yet, female personnel receive [0]

wages that are 6% less to what the male personnel get. The administration has been less [0]

concerned in resolving these issues leading to serious wrangles between the employees and the

management.

The organization has issues in harmonizing its labor force owing to earlier stated reasons [0]

among others. The firm has not offered the required support to its human resource to guarantee [0]

realization of organization expectations and needs. The internal organization processes are not 's [0]

well articulated on ways to help the human resource. The organization has issues with [0]

streamlining of the job design and planning of its human resource. [0]

How the issue affects organizational efficiency

These issues have negatively impacted the growth potential and the organization's

performance in a broad-spectrum. Due to the lack of effectiveness in addressing this issue, the [0]

labor force motivation has gone down affecting the efficiency of the firm. The issue of poor HR [0]

management has created problems in the business activities optimization due to massive

criticism which hinders the efficiency considering the fierce competition in the industry.

Employee's turnover has risen immensely following resignations which have stalled the course [0]

of growth and expansion overseas.

In the recent past, many retail shops have gone online a move that has rendered the [0]

environment very competitive. The criticism that Walmart has faced have robbed them a quit a [0]

great number of customers due to issues of dissatisfied customers (1). The online market has [0]

presented a wider selection of alternatives and once customers are not satisfied, they seek

alternatives immediately. Low motivation in the Walmart's labor force has contributed vastly to [0]

this situation. Again, the increased turnover has steered hiring of supervisors with insufficient [0]

managerial know-how which affects the overall running of the business. In addition, increased [0]

employees turnover caused by resignation has affected the labor force training program. The [0]

company sustains huge losses in regular training the new employees which prompt the company

to consider outsourcing which greatly af . fects the organization's efficacy [0]
