A 6-8- page document with at least 5 scholarly sources in which you discuss your topic and begin to organize your paper. The assignment should be in APA format, and is due by February 10th EOD.

Prospectus outline:

Purpose and Rationale:

You should state on the onset what the purpose of your research will be—what question, problem, or need your research will resolve

· What will help your readers believe that it is important to do this research? What will be the value to your audience and others of the knowledge you will collect and write about? The rationale of a prospectus does not have to be long, but it should be presented carefully—you want your project to be approved, so give some good reasons why it should be

Plan of Work:

All in all, this section should outline your thesis, organization, and the contents of your paper; you should provide your qualifications as a researcher, outline the schedule you will follow; including how, where, and when you will accomplish the various phases of your research

Your plan of work should include the following categories:

· Scope of Project

· How, where, and when will the work be accomplished?

· Outlines the objectives of the project and the goals that need to be met to achieve a satisfactory result

· Outline of Proposed Paper

· Timeline

· What phases of the work will you have completed by intermediate dates before the final deadline

Literature Review:

Summarize what you have learned from your research so far, showing how the sources you have read help you achieve your purpose and fit into your plans for the eventual research paper

Reference List:

Attach to your prospectus a list of the works you have consulted so far and still intend to consult—these sources will eventually be used when you work on your Annotated Bibliography
